I see the last of the series is not on next week. Anyone know when it will be shown?
30th May. Usual time.

I have a couple of Freesat HDR so decided to do a test. Normal accurate recording on one which failed. An SD accurate recording on London failed. The last test was an HD recording which I did then went into the schedule and edited the time so that it started one minute before and finished one minute after, this recording worked fine.

I did send ITV an email last week which they were passing on to the technical people.

The email address is dutyoffice@itv.com

Failed recording has now turned up, presumably it appears after the scheduled end of the recording. Over on the Freeview forum there is a report of the same problem using accurate recording on a Sony recorder.

Mine has failed now for 3 weeks on HD, however I manually set up a repeating schedule on SD (Granada region) this week, using accurate times, and this recorded OK.

I tried a series record, that failed, I tried a one off record, that failed so the next Lewis Sunday week I am going to try a good old fashion timer event 8-00pm to 10-00pm.

Now I know why some say “the old way’s are the best way’s”.

As I had tow inputs free,I attempted single recordings on ITV1 Meridian South and ITV1 HD. The HD version failed. Both were set without padding,

Just checked mine. One minute padding either side, triggered by series link - 122m long. Not going to watch it tonight but it looks fine.

Anything that cancelled accurate recording worked. ITV must have screwed up the accurate recording flags

Shameful in this day and age. Oh well - I don't think AR is needed most of the time anyway so I'll leave it off.

This weeks seems to have recorded ok - 3rd time lucky. I did an update on Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon did a retune etc. Reset series link for Lewis and hey presto looks like it recorded. Shows in series folder and played when I tested last night.

Lewis recorded OK last night so for the last 4 episodes I've had:

Recorded
Failed
Failed
Recorded

Did it record for everyone else who had it on series link on HD?

Just wondering if people complained to ITV and they corrected the problem or it was just chance that it worked last night.

Exactly the same for me. ITV were definetely aware of the problem which was not confined to satellite, There were similar reports on freeview threads

No HD PVR
Failed
Failed
Recorded

This was with the Series Link reservation as first set up so presumably a problem with the broadcast stream and the Series Link info was correct.

Exactly the way we got it too... (ironically this week we were actually watching it to make sure it recorded!)

I did complain to ITV previously about it and received an acknowledgement to my e-mail saying that they were investigating at the time...

Using a Panasonic - the first three episodes were recorded fine on ITV HD, this weeks, I got a recording of the first hour and a half.

I think we concluded that (for most of us anyway) that all the episodes failed except the last one in the series.

We came to the conclusion that it was a problem at ITV’s end though that does not explain why some boxes seem to record the series without any problems.

What are all those gif links. ?

Mine definitely recorded the first one without problems.

That makes it all the more strange because even the boxes that failed did not do so consistently with one another.

Also odd that The Prisoner appeared to stop my box recording CSI:NY on Five at the same time.

I've been recording CSI:LV, CSI:NY and Flashforward from Five for a while now. The only time I had a failure was when The Prisoner failed the same weekend that Lewis did. A curious coincidence. If I remember correctly the box appeared to be doing something that evening. I don't use it much and I'm always aware when the time appears on the display.
