After just watching the two Peladon stories, I think it's a crying shame that a) They were never seen in the classic series again Post-Pertwee and b)they haven't been brought back for the new series yet. I know they should have come back for the original series 23 but even with that, it would still have been a long time without seeing them!

I think they are the one of the last vintage villains not yet to make a comeback, I think it's time they were brought back, not necessarily on a regular basis like the Daleks, but for just one story. What do others think? Should they stay just a part of classic who or do you think they would benefit from a new-who style update?

They brought the Daleks back good, then ruined them. They brought the Cybers back with a good design, but didn't do them right. They managed to do the Master and Macra good though. But after seeing a picture of the new Silurians, I hope they leave them.

I would like to see them brought back but not as out right villians.

They did something unusual with them by turning them in to ambassadors and a peace keeping force. It was a change to have aliens that have good and bad in them like humans.

I certainly didn't mind them in the Seeds of Death ( i think its that one I always get confused with the titles between this and Seeds of Doom)

although they were a bit, whats the word, chunky...so look a bit on the slow side....don't mind seeing them again...can't say one way or the other about whether they should be re-designed, as with all things, it works for some an not others. I would love the Zygons to make an appearance though!!!

It'll be interesting to see what they do with the Silurians as they were a bit on the slow side as well. If that works out well, then you'll have your answer on that one!

As for the Zygons, I hope if they do come back, they'll make them better designed. Wasn't really impressed with them as monsters, though saying that, the voices is what made them for me, I suppose!

RTD has opened the door for The Ice Warriors return with the what's under the ice in TWoM...who knows if SM had a hand in the lead in since they were collaborating on the hand-over at that point...

...must strongly protest over the Zygon design: nasty, orange human foetuses covered in growths, enough to give Mary Whitehouse nightmares for weeks...possibly the best "rubber suit" monster from Classic Who in terms of design...oh, IMHO, obviously...redesign the Scarasen though...looked just like the original hand puppet that tried to eat the Millenium Falcon in TESB only with bigger teeth

I would love the Zygons to keep their original form too, when I watched it first time, about two years ago now i think...I could imagine being scared of them if I had watched it as a child....

And I like the Scarasen as it is as well

Yes, I can see it from that point of view, but if you the Zygons came back with that design now, would they be as scary in a Child's eyes today?

As for The Waters Of Mars, I was half hoping The Ice Warriors might make a surprise appearance once The Doctor started talking about them. Shame it didn't happen!

It still might, fingers crossed...

The only Ice Warriors stories I've seen are the two Peladon stories. I'd be interested to see more of them, so it would be nice to have a comeback.

I hope they come back... they scared the living crap out of me when I was a kid.

To answer the original question, I hope so, the series was so short lived, should we get Dani Behr back though?

The Zygons, I think, were probably the most convincing, realistic looking aliens we ever saw in Who, a terrific design which I doubt could be bettered today. Some things just don't need updating.

The Skarasen, on the other hand...
