Digital Camera
Hi
I'm going to Dubai later this year and was wondering how much cheaper digital cameras are out there. I'd be looking to possibly get either a 4m or 5m pixel camera (sony, canon, etc). Would there be compatability problems bringing it back to the UK? |

Dunno about compatibility, but get one by a company who traditionally make cameras, rather than electrical equipment.
Get a Canon, Nikon, Olympus etc. rather than Sony, Panasonic etc. The lens (and therefore the image projected onto the CCD) will be better. |

shouldnt be any issues. I just bought a sony p92 in the US and the charger has one of those power cords which can be pulled out and swapped for one with a UK plug. It also has TV out and that allows you to select pal/ntsc.

If you want comprehensive reviews of digital cameras take a look here
http://www.steves-digicams.com/ Be a bit careful on the power issue. Some cameras do have chargers that are hard wired to a non-UK style plug. This is easy to get round as long as the charger supports 220/240V |
