There's only a huge thread for this lol!
PS: If she does kill the Doctor, maybe he asked her to for some reason, rather than her murdering him?

That's OK.
I don't know why though, maybe the Doctor gets something done to him that's going to kill him and stop him regenerating, and there's no cure for it. It takes a day to work though, so he has to force himself to regenerate straight away before the other stuff has time to ruin it.
There'd have to be a better reason than that lol!

Notice I said 'takes a day to work' so it obviously wouldn't involve him having his head chopped off or anything like that to scare kiddies!

Maybe a bit like Robin Hood at the end of the series. i swear, it took him ages to pop his clogs even though he was dying.

I'll admit my immediate thought was of the Doctor being diagnosed with cancer or something. I know, that's terrible, but my mind works in ridiculous ways...

In a day? The aliens must have caused it then!
No I was thinking specifically something to do with the regeneration so it goes wrong (otherwise he'd just regenerate after), but don't worry, you didn't offend me or anything.

We've already seen River Song kill the Doctor. She is secretly the Rani, and the Sixth Doctor is her victim.

If she does "kill" the doctor she must remember it when she sacrifices herself in SitL, so maybe that is a sort of gesture of atonement for her.

There's lots of scenarios for this without River Song having to be evil, like perhaps
She's being mind-controlled by an alien.
She's being forced to by an powerful organisation who are holding her kids hostage or something.
His future self is evil and she kills it in self-defence.
He's already dying horribly and wanting to regenerate so she's helping him get it over with.
Accident - she shoots him while aiming for the villain or something.
She gets framed by whoever really killed him.

She could be a future incarnation of the Doctor, so she has killed a "good man" by turning him into a woman. That would also explain why her past is the Doctors future.

In The Eleventh Hour, the Doctor tells Jeff he'll be a legend and will save the world. He also says (referring to Jeff) "I've got my best man working on it" (or something like that).

So it is my contention that River Song will meet this unlikely hero Jeff, decide he is the best man she ever knew and will then kill him (and not the Doctor).

Ridiculous theory. But hey.

This is exactly what I was thinking too. Seems plausible as she does know his every move and his name. She also knows all his companions as well.

So, take that coat off and sit back and relax..

But she doesn't know the sequence of their meetings from the Doctor's point of view. Surely she would if she was the future Doctor?

Nah she only killed the human half. The Time Lord half remembers.

I'm curious about how Amy cannot remember the Dalek invasion (as pointed out by the Doc)

I think they've intimated already that the future has been altered so none of the RTD era invasions happened.

When you tie this in with 'a good man will be killed' and also that 'River can fly the Tardis' then I suppose you have to conclude she is responsible for changing the past.

The 'pandorica' will open and the crack in the universe has to tie in with these events. It's very hard to figure out because it's so multi-layered.

Very well done to Ste Moffat for all of this as it is a really good puzzle for us to solve
