Hi

Are you a big Bruce Forsyth fan?

If so we'd like to hear from you.

We're producing a documentary and are particularly keen to make contact with fans who've grown up watching Bruce since he first hit our screens at the London Palladium.

Please contact: dave.nath@rdftelevision.com

thanks.

How about making a programme on why people think he shouldn't be hosting Strictly any more because he's past it?

Yes I remember him when he started with Sunday Night at the London Palladium (yes I am that old) and he was fun then and the Generation Game was required viewing in our house, but he should have retired gracefully a few years ago.

I get very cross at the thought of having to watch him again this season and just hope and pray that the PTB finally see some sense and get a professional presenter in.

Well done Force Ten... I would like to have said that but couldnt think of a succinct way to put it.

Yes he was good in the 80s and yes I remember the Generation Game... (cant remember too far back before then) and although I admire him for his longevity in the entertainment industry, my admiration is gradually getting chipped away by STILL having to watch him on a Saturday night, the jokes are terrible (what jokes?!) and almost every time he opens his mouth I want to cringe (behind the sofa).

And I was a fan.......

I vaguely remember when he was good (I'm 19 now, so we're talking a decade ago at least) but he should definitely have retired gracefully a few years ago.

Strictly is something he would have been very good at 20 years ago, but the time has come for a fresh face at the helm, one who can actually tell relevant jokes, get the professional dancers' names right and get the audience to laugh without prompting them to do so.

I'm pretty much with Sara and Force Ten on this subject. I remember Brucie from the Palladium, and The Generation Game was a 'must view' for us as well as a family, but last year, as well as his usual limp gags and struggles with the autocue, I felt that Brucie was somewhat ill-tempered at times and irritatingly inconsistent with his attitude, particularly towards the judges.

Time for a change imo...
