Not happy with killing off Big brother I see they are after DW now.

Vivienne Pattison from Mediawatch UK said: "I have to say the scene was slightly out of place in a children's programme. I thought it sailed pretty close to the wind."

Whats more depressing these people see stuff in these shows that others dont even register??

How anyone can consider that scene as 'sexy' is beyond me - it was just plain funny, not a hint of sensuality! Yes, there were a couple of double entendres' that under 10s wouldn't have picked up on but I've seen much worse ones in Shrek or any number of latterday animations.

I doubt if 43 complaints will make much difference to anything. Some people will get offended by anything.

Don't worry....once they have seen Vampires of Venice, they will forget all about Flesh and Stone....and then when they see Amy's Choice, they will forget all about VOV.etc etc

in other words....they will look for any excuse!!

Totally And The Daily Wail have an Article on the Vampire Eps apparently..it even make Skynews sunrise this morning saying is it right scantily clad woman running about???

with all the other problems going on picking on something so pathetic just makes the Daily Mail/Mediawatch even more trivial than they already are..

I remember reading about the complaints for Jerry Springer the Opera, and apparently if Eastenders is on one minute later than advertised, the BBC can get up to three hundred complaints...

As you said, I doubt anything will be done!

One complaint is enough if it is justified and upheld.

Personally I think the scene would be out of place in a children's show, which is why they should stop trying to label it as such when it clearly is not.

It's not as if there was something more worthwhile to report on, like for instance an imminent election... hang on a minute.

This is ridiculous. They must get these numbers of complaints complaints all the times (43 out of 8 Million is nothing). Hate or love the scene all you like, but kids are likely to see more sexual innuendo in adverts.

I wonder how many kids didn't even batter an eyelid..

Alot more than 43.

I wonder what the next complaint will be..
Maybe these people don't like the new Sonic Screwdriver light?

Anything that annoys Mediawatch and/or the Daily Heil is fine by me

I don't think you're actually allowed to have a vampire story without scantily clad women running about. It's a tradition, or an old charter or something.

43 complaints is nothing compared to the number who complained about the Graham Norton cartoon. I had no problem with my two boys (aged 8 & 5) watching that scene. They thought it was hilarious!

what they forget is Doctor whos a family programme. If i saw this sort of thing in say, bob the builder, i would complain but Doctor who is not aimed at children it's aimed at familyies and there are lots of different age groups in families. If it was all cheery and happy adults wouldn't watch. So neh!

There actually appears to be less cleavage than normal and less than you'd get in your typical production of a Jane Austen novel.

Do you think I should complain?

Oh really?

*goes to nose*

I see...

Just noticed this too, about the previous ep:

One read: 'Just watched this on tape and am very disappointed. Why on earth do they have to have her asking him for casual sex?'

Permission to die of laughter right now, please?

Well, there's always one.... or 43

Creepy Angels, characters dying, a crack erasing time and people's very existence and they thought the upsetting bit was when Amy tried to snog the doctor

People are always bombarding the BBC or OFCOM with complaints- it's so regular now that it's become meaningless- they can't distinguish between what they simply don't like and what's innappropriate/ offensive/ a breach of broadcasting standards

This is a non- story-
for what it's worth- (and as a new viewer my opinion may carry very little weight)
that scene was not sexy- it was funny and the episode was fantastic

people need to stop wrapping their kids up in cotton wool- kids hear worse things in the playground every day

I wasnt at all happy at the scene. I was looking at Amy as being a good role model, but I dont want my 8 year old thinking that throwing yourself at an obviously dissinterested bloke for sport-sex while supposidly in a committed relationship is the right way to behave.
In our house, she is now known as "Amy the Slapper". Such a shame.

Exactly. Sarah Jane Adventures is a children's show. Torchwood is aimed at adults. Doctor Who is a family programme.

Because I am sure 8 year olds think of nothing else then whether they're suffering from 'pre marriage' jitters and how committed they are in their relationships

Part of me is hoping that is sarcasm but if not...

So it's okay for your 8 year old to go around using the word "slapper"?

And of course that is a much more responsible way to teach your children how to behave
Perhaps you and your 42 narrow minded killjoy friends should go and find some books to burn?

43 people complained.

Whereas over 5000 people rang about the ident and they had god knows how many emails.

I don't think they will be that worried over 43 complaints myself.
