I really think that posts such as the o.p. are incredibly one dimensional. It might not bother them but they don't look at things from other people's pespectives.
Most people are vain to some extent and there's nothing wrong with wanting to look as well as one can. To be blunt 99% of people would rather have hair on top than not and there's always the option of a shave if one likes that look. A post with little thought. |

That's because it's your mothers side who gives you (or not)the baldness gene.

My husband started losing his hair at around 21 years old and has now (aged 25) shaved his head. I personally quite like the way he looks without his hair but concede it has made him look older.
I believe he has inherited it from his own Dad who has gone bald in the same way/pattern whereas his Grandad on his Mum's side still has a full head of hair. |

The reason baldness is so bad for some especially when you're young is because it feels like you've been robbed of the chance of at least being able to have a few different hairstyles before you get old.
My hair is thinning on top and has been since I was about 20. It sucks because I cannot grow my hair to any significant length. It would be nice to have long hair at least once before I get older. But I'm stuck with what I've got. My grandad is bald too. Genes eh?! |

Losing my hair is one my biggest worries. I definetely think I need to look after it more.
My hair happens to grow fast though and its very moist so I'll probably be fine. Seriously, I would hate being bald. Absolutely hate it. I feel so much better looking with longer hair. Its like my face is better looking for some reason and I feel more confident. Its not just having hair, its the styles as well. Just changing a guys hairstyle could make them look very different, for better or worse. Hair is by far the most important thing regarding appearance for men, I think. |

Every woman is unique...I'm sure some women do and some don't. I know of some women who hate it.....one friend even said she'd leave her partner if he goes bald...which is very narrow minded and shallow but such attitudes do exist too.

My partner is starting to go bald and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. He just shaves his hair off and it really suits him. I wouldn't say I go for bald men per se, but if I was single and met a lovely guy who was losing his hair it wouldn't matter to me one jot. If someone is shallow enough to make it an issue then they're really not worth bothering with in the first place!

The problem is if you're big like me you find that bouncers don't let you in clubs because they think you're a thug (especially since I am often bigger than they are) and drunken thugs choose you as a target so they can show how hard they are to their mates, which is why I wear glasses on on a night out to lessen this even though I'd prefer to wear contacts.
