I was disgusted to find out that the cost of the Tour t-shirts (I assume these were the official ones) were £18.
It was bad enough that they were charching £40 for good seats , with no reduction for children. (and of course the obligatory £8 the NEC charge you to park, with nowhere else to park).
If I had gone with my wife and daughter to the show , there is no way I wouldve paid that for a childs t-shirt.
These merchandise people are now charging ridiculous prices , and its time the public started boycotting them en masse to force the prices back down.
T-shirts cost about £2 to produce. And how long will they fit younger children ... about 6 months max ??
Of course, you say, your not forced to buy one. Good argument. But it is usually a nice souvenir of the show, which your more likely to get your wear out of , rather than a £10 program, which you flick thru in 2 minutes, then stays in a draw for the rest of your life.
I just wanted to post this as a warning to other parents going to the shows to be prepared.
In the good old concert days you could buy loads of merchandise outside, which forced to prices down. Oh happy days.
Bottom line is they loved the show - but it just leaves a bitter taste. And I know , Wembley is even more of a rip-off.
