Anyone else love how this is the air date of the Finale... i know its very obvious, but it's cool how it ties into our time line as well as their's. Maybe a real-time episode?

eurovision is 29th so i bet we will lose a week as we do each year

this year its right in the middle of the silurian story so we'll have a 2 week wait for the cliffhanger to be resolved

Yeah but knowing the BBC they will have some lame excuse to move it back a week for something like 'Over The Rainbow... a recap of what's happened so far.'

According to DWM there is no break for Eurovision for Doctor Who this year. They have the second part of the two parter as being on 29 May.

One of the advantages of it being on earlier. Plus Over the Rainbow will be missing its host!

Just so long as Doctor Who doesn't end with him instead...

Haha, true, Norton can't be in two places at once! I think OTR will be finished by then anyway. There's only six contestants left and it's a double elimination this week.

I fully expect this to happen; mostly because it makes perfect sense that Episode 12 is on the 26th, since that is the first part of the finale... If it was ep13 then that would suggest ep12 would not be on the date which wouldn't make sense at all.

Unless the first half of the finale is set off-earth and just ends with them going there... sort of like Utopia was to the series 3 finale. I know it was episode 11, not 12... but you know what I mean?

Confirmed - Over The Rainbow finishes on 22 May, the week before Eurovision.

Therefore - NO BREAKS FOR DOCTOR WHO!!! Woohoo!!

Also, final confirmation of the dates of the first episode, the bits with the Atraxi invasion must have been in 2008......

It does kind of put paid to those interesting "super advanced version of the nineties" as well, which is a shame, because I quite liked some of those ideas.

That only came about because of Rory's wrongly dated ID card - it should've said something like 2005 instead of 1990. Good news about Eurovision anyway, thanks Bradley!
