I first saw The Zutons around five years ago and Kasabian not long after, both playing similar sized venues.
However Kasabian are now in a completely different league to The Zutons...... |

The Zutons have their work cut out for them to rival Kasabian at the moment.
The last Kasabian album was brilliant. |

The Zutons' frontman is hilarious! But I have to say Kasabian have just pretty much left the majority of their rivals behind!

The Zutons are most famous for a cover version of a song they wrote!
Kasabian are huge now as they have taken on the 'lads' element of the Oasis crowd and are almost getting to the point where they can fill stadiums. McCabe is just using Kasabian to get a mention in the press. |

Personally I've always preferred Kasabian to Oasis from when I first heard Kasabians début album I was hooked. Oasis I've liked a their songs and even bought several albums but I'm not what you would call a proper fan.

Kasabian have the songs and the stage-craft to easily step up to Arenan sized venies. |

I remember going to see the Zutons ages ago and enjoying their live show, but being a bit disappointed by their first album. I haven't taken much notice of them since. |

Too be honest I like Kasabian maybe becuase I miss Oasis and The Verve and The Stone Roses.Their is some people that they like Blur now more than Oasis but I was never in too early Brit Pop,It was too middle class and all London. That why people was listening to Grunge and American rock becuase people here was going all shoegaze more than Brit Pop.It was not till Oasis came along people stop looking at america and started loving UK music again.

I'm sorry but even going down the route of pushing the sexy sax player to the forefront of the band couldn't make them more popular so I doubt it somehow. As others have said Kasabian are on another planet entirely.

I'm surprised The Zutons are as popular as they are to be honest. Their big mates The Coral are way better but never get the same recognition.
Never liked Oasis but have always liked Kasabian. Their last album was top class and they're great live. |
