Cowell will wait until the new series of X Factor (as he does every year) before Joe's single and album are released, so that he can perform his first proper single on one of the live shows in front of millions of people to maximize sales, while Cowell tells everyone how 'amazing' he is and how 'hard he's worked'.

It's the same every year - Simon Cowell is only interested in selling records, so he does everything possible in the most contrived way to ensure his X Factor winners sell as many as possible

Why do people aalways ask what happend to the previous year's winner etcc

WE ALL KNOW THE PROCEDURE THE X FACTOR WINNER GOES THROUGH NOW! Gosh its been going on since Leona won <3
Wait till autum/new series for previous winner to perform song
shoot straight to number one (or not in leons case)
and then see what happens from there.

Yeah... What is his surname?

Whoever he is, he'll probably just come out with covers of Westlife & wearing white.
That's what the Zzzzz Factor does, isn't it?

All these people who have the X FACTOR, yet take a shortcut in reality TV & don't have the ability to write their own music. They get someone to do it for them.

Hardly having the X Factor. Surely if they had it they'd be able to (co)write/produce their music? Because a lot of new acts do do it themselves.

Can you tell I'm not a fan?! :P

Possibly because half of them are so crap that no one else would want to write for them...

I don't give a damn who writes the music/words as long as the performer can actually sing!

Joe was pretty good, but no better than many hundreds who don't get the breaks and I think he'll struggle after the initial release.

yeah they never release a single till october/november time. to be honest i think joe will flop like leon jackson! i may be wrong, but i rarely am about these things
i think last years series was just a flop altogether, the standard was nowhere near as high as alex burkes year, which has had 3 of there artists with number 1 singles and albums!

Hmmm, but someone may have an incredible ability to write and compose songs, but they may not know how to get recognised, nor have the money to actually book a venue or some studio time and put some kind of demo tape together. You can't get to the top on talent alone. I'm not a fan of Joe, (although I think he can really sing), but it's not as straightforward as "'if you can write a song, you should be selling records".

True, I haven't heard anything about him for a while, not since the finals last Christmas.

Joe is busy working behind the scenes to launch his career. I have every faith in him, and I can see him being as big as Elton John

HOWEVER X Factor saps all creativity and individuality that a singer has so if you are a serious songwriter/musician failing to get recognized then X Factor still isnt the way to go if you want to keep your creativity and dignity.

If I was serious about my music but not getting recognized I still wouldn't be caught dead resorting to that exploitative farce of an entertainment show trying to make itself look like a talent show.

AND ANOTHER THING... why do people ask this same question every year "what happened to so and so who won X Factor".... you should know the drill by now.

Joe is busy working behind the scenes to launch his career. I have every faith in him, and I can see him being as big as Elton John
give me a break

He's performing at Radio 1's Big Weekend. Hardly bad for a newbie.

Though I can't see him lasting long in the music industry. He'd be fab in the West End.

Isn't it just!?

Come on now people, by now you should know how it goes, with the artist releasing their debut single from Final night, to taking a year off working on their album, etc.

I don't even need to say all this, so I don't know why I just did.
