Most songs I like, I like after the first time I heard them. I can't be doing with all this "oh, you have to hear it a few times before you get into it" nonsense. Life's too short to listen to an album full of songs a dozen times on the off-chance it might grow on you, but you'll still probably end up not liking it.

I realised this after wasting god knows how many hours of my life on that last freaking Scott Walker album that all the hipsters raved about.

Misguided Ghosts - Paramore (I loved it, despite bawling my eyes out on the first listen. Knew exactly what it meant. One of my favourite songs ever)
Misery Business - Paramore (I first heard this while flicking through tv channels..it was nearly finished but I loved the 15 seconds that I heard)
In fact, the whole Brand New Eyes album.

These are the ones that really stick in my head, and I can even remember where I was when I first heard them:
Beyonce - Crazy In Love
Rihanna - Umbrella
Britney - Toxic

Theres too many others to list, but some of the more recent ones are:
Robyn - Dancing On My Own
Aggro Santos - Candy
Lady Gaga - Telephone

I can't be doing with all this "oh, you have to hear it a few times before you get into it" nonsense. Life's too short to listen to an album full of songs a dozen times on the off-chance it might grow on you, but you'll still probably end up not liking it.
I actually think most of my favourite songs are the ones I didn't like/was indifferent to on the first listen. I usually find that the instant songs are the ones that I get bored of really quickly.

I usually find that songs I love on first listen usually grow old very quickly. Their instant catchiness wears off. I prefer more subtle songs that you grow to love, because they last longer.

That I can remember (I can't really remember my first listening of songs), There Is A Light That Never Goes Out by The Smiths. I heard it and instantly played it for several hours straight, my favourite song ever now, it is.
Everything With You - The Pains of Being Pure At Heart
Just Like Heaven - The Cure
A Dustland Fairytale - The Killers
Under The Gun - The Killers

Usually I don't like songs on first listen
