Foxsat recording from one lnb input
My Sister currently has only one satellite feed into her house, but may have another one added in future.
If she were to buy a Humax Foxsat-HDR and only have a signal to one lnb input at present, we understand she could only record one channel at a time, and "potentially" view another channel if it's on the same "THINGY". (I don't know what the satellite term is, but I'm led to believe it's the equivalent of what you would call MUX in freeview terms) Does anyone have a list of which groups of channels are on which "THINGIES" in order that we could determine which COMBINATION of channels she could record/watch? Many thanks. |

The hdr has a tuner 1 out tuner 2 in loop capability. This gives you two channel recording and third channel viewing with some restrictions. (Much less than you might expect)

Thanks for response Graham, and what a brilliant Excel program. Very helpful even for those of us who have dual feeds available. I'm going out Saturday morning to add a Foxsat-HDR to my 9200-T. Pity the twin-record Humax freeVIEW HD won't be ready until CHristmas; otherwise I'd have gone for that instead.
Thanks again. |
