TOSHIBA REGZA Text issue

I have a TOSHIBA REGZA 32RV635DB and I am experiencing the following issue!

When I go into BBCi or TELETEXT pages the incorrect time appears on the page currently being displayed!

The time appears correctly in the DTV Local Time Setting option in DTV Settings menu, the EPG and program info screens also show the correct time!

I have contacted TOSHIBA on the helpline to point out the bug but they say it is not their fault!

I do not have this problem with any other freeview equipment in my house.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Yep, our 42" Regza does exactly the same. I must admit, I just ignore it

It's not their fault... it's down to the content provider. Go and complain to BBC or whichever channel is serving up the duff time.

If that is so why does it not affect any other freeview equipment in my house?

I have Wharfdale and durabrand STB's and also a Humax PVR! I have also used a TVonics based STB none of which are affected!

Also this issue affects all text services only on the TOSHIBA this would indicate a problem with the Toshiba's MHEG 5 engine.

I have just had a visit from a Toshiba engineer about another issue! (HDMI sound issue)

He Updated the software and the time issue is now fixed with this version.

New software version:

2.1.73.1 Apr 22 2010 - 09:37:15 FW:46

Hmmm!

I thought Toshiba customer services said it was not their fault, IE not their software at fault!

Actually I have this same problem relating to telext time. How do you actually upgrade the software on the set?
