Harry Chapin - Cat's in the Cradle
KC & The Sunshine Band - Get Down Tonight
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
Roxy Music - The Thrill of It All

I particularly like the ones I've highlighted. I think about 6 from this list were hits in 1975 (Supertramp, Kraftwerk, AWB, Bob Marley & the Wailers, KC & The Sunshine Band, Eagles) but it's an enjoyable music reflection anyway!

A few others I like from 1974 are:

Stevie Wonder:- Living for the City
Hot Chocolate:- Emma
Mud:- The Cat Crept In/ Rocket
Sunny:- Doctor's Orders
Mungo Jerry:- long-Legged Woman Dressed in Black
Glitter Band:- Angel Face
R Dean Taylor:- There's a Ghost in My House
Cozy Powell:- The Man in Black
Alan Price:- Jarrow Song (my fave hit from the mid-70s!)
Commodores:- Machine Gun
Roxy Music:- All I Want is You
Sparks:- Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth
George McCrae:- I Can't Leave You Alone (Tracie's cover version in 1985 was quite good too)
Hello:- Tell Him
Rubettes: Juke Box Jive

Whoops! '71 and '73 were much better years, I agree. I think one of those dates has already been done.

Ozark Mountain Daredevils - "Jackie Blue".

It was on the radio quite a lot at the time.
