Never heard of her, and a quick search reveals I've never seen anything she's been in, to my knowledge.

Never heard of her but I know her face as I identified her correctly as "Narcissa" in the "Harry Potter "Facebook quiz.

-that it's Helen McCrory in Messiah.

Unbelievable! In this day and age, some people still point a camcorder at the telly to make a YouTube clip.

Speaking for myself, I would have no idea how to create such a thing, but this would seem as logical a way as any (assuming I owned a camcorder). Not everyone is automatically as tech savvy as you.

Considering the quality of the clip given, I don't see how anyone could see that method as acceptable.

EDIT: Also, I genuinely laughed out loud at the idea of anyone in Harry Potter being credited with a stunning performance.

She was superb IMO.

I disagree the adult performers in the Harry Potter films are all good actors, they have to be as it is an ensemble piece and they have very little screen time to make their characters believable. If they used inexperienced actors it would be terrible.

Helen McCrory was originally cast as Bellatrix but dropped out due to pregnancy which is how Helena Bonham Carter got the part. Obviously playing Narcissa is not such a good part but she did it well.

I agree, played a very convincing and interesting character and even though clearly her plan was wrong, you could hold a certain amount of empathy for her in the end.

I liked the gratuitous shot of her cleavage as the Doctor stood above her by the throne.

You're joking, right? I reckon it's one of the best guest performances in ages, and she didn't really have that many scenes. She's obviously a real class act and you could see Matt Smith had to up his game in that close contact scene with her.

Damien Lewis played Soames Forsyte in the ITV remake of the Forsyte Saga. He was also in Stephen Spielberg's acclaimed TV series Band of Brothers.

Ah. That would be why I've never heard of him...
