I cant wait to see this episode.. looks like a bit of a mind bender.

TEH was filmed in the same village and it didn't come off as cheap at all.. i suspect it will have a similar feel for those scenes
As for Amy, she is supposed to look 5 years older... Rory looks like he's trying to recapture some lost youth of sorts LOL
And the villain looking as menacing as a librarian... there have been a few librarians that I wouldn't liked to have crossed in my time LOL

It definitely has a cheap feel about it. But let's wait and see the entire episode. But it looks like they spent about 50 quid on it!

I feel you might have missed the irony of your own post, so I thought I'd point it out for you...

sometimes the best ones are done on less budget, makes them more creative and this next one looks great, could be a good twist, definately more phsycological

What's wrong with filming in a village, anyway?”

Exactly. Rather that than something supposed to be in London, but shot in Cardiff with a poorly CGI'd St.Paul's or Canary Wharf dropped in and none of the surrounding buildings looking anything like the area. Some of the exterior scenes in Doomsday looked cheap!

Besides, who is in a position to say an episode is crap until after it has aired?

Looking forward to Saturday's episode, it looks like its going to be a good one. Wasn't over impressed with the fish vamp episode.

I loved Human Nature/Family of Blood. I think its Amy's village they are filming in, we can expect to see it now and then, like with previous companions there are going to be home episodes.

I must admit I thought the trailer made the episode look really crappy. Amy looking older (why do people always look naff with older make-up?) and pregnant and all this dream vs reality nonsense. And the villain looks as menacing as a librarian. Looks like a real stinker of an episode.

Still, I could be proven wrong. ”

Yawn.

I also can't stand the 12th Doc.

Maybe let it air and make an informed thread????

It can't be that cheap, surely Wes Craven and the "Nightmare On Elm Street Team" need a pay off>

Isn't the poster suggesting it's ridiculous to speculate about shows which haven't yet aired? Amongst those are the 12th Doctor's adventures. Either ilovedoctorwho123 has spectacularly missed tomsy's joke, or I've credited tomsy with a joke when they were being daft?!

Well if they've saved on the budget with this one, no doubt they'll be ploughing back into another episode. No harm done.

Yeah and David Tennant & Matt Smith will be the worst Doctors ever.

I think, from the trailer, that next weeks episode looks great.

Just because it's not a CGI filled blockbuster doesn't mean it's going to be a poor episode. Just look at Blink and Midnight. Virtually no effects, but two of the most popular episodes ever. Both ones, if I recall correctly, that many people didn't have high hopes for on the back of their trailer.

It's sometimes the cheaper episodes that are the best.

I think it was a joke, and a gentle reminder that we shouldn't diss something before we have seen it.
