she definetly is... lea michele always looks lke shes in pain whatever shes singing....as does lauren! well not in pain...but emotional...

I'm always concerned when Lauren does the stomach-clutching thing that she's about to vomit...

I agree that her facial expressions are a less exaggerated version of Rachel's, but her arrogance on the other hand... I'm 99% sure that it's the editing! And none of them come across well in the Graham interviews...

Though the fact that she's the most talented one of the group, I'll go with that! I do enjoy some of the other's performances, but I think that Lauren clearly has the best/strongest musical theatre voice left in the competition.

She is the most talented member of the group, and yes she stands out. But boy does she know it. I find her kind of cold and slightly detached, she never gets emotional like the others do, but maybe you need to be like that to get by in such a tough profession?

I didn't like the way she accused Stephanie of being the messiest person in the house the other week either, it was snidey and pretty bitchy I thought.

Glee - yuck! Vile, plastic, soulless.

She reminds me of Helena from 'HDYSAPLM'....they look similar, both always give solid performances, but something stops me engaging.
And, as with Helena, ALW will keep Lauren in for longer than he should, as she's a safe pair of hands.

Never watched glee but I can't help feeling that each time I watch Lauren it's like Groundhog Day.

Every performance is the same - there's a pained expression on her face, it's all a bit over-acted and I feel like she's very distant.

Maybe it's different in the studio and that's why the panel are moved so much by what Lauren does. But I wouldn't pay to watch her play Dorothy, even if she is the best singer in the group. It's about more than vocal ability, for me anyway.

Rachel's actually likeable as well as self-confident, Lauren is just annoying. Also Rachels facial expressions are cute, while Laurens are, again, annoying.

I think you do need to be like that, like you've said, it's a tough profession & she's probably already had to cope with a lot of rejection.

I think it's all in the context... I've thought things like that in various situations with various people, but from what I've heard Lauren is quite close to the other Dorothy's, and when you're close to someone you can make that kind of joke, even if it doesn't come across well to onlookers. Either way, I don't think it was her intention to sound mean.

i don't like lauren's performances, but at least she does it live. i do love glee, but my god to they love their music editing technology!

I really can't take to her. She sounds so much older than she is when she talks. Sensible and full of herself. She is the best singer but nothing like I imagine Dorothy and nothing like Rachel.

Cute?! I have to fast forward through her songs/not look at the screen when she sings! And every performance is literally exactly the same.

I know Lauren's performances are a little samey (to a lesser degree... and they do give her some very similar songs), but I don't think that's a major problem when, if she wins, she'll be doing the same show eight shows a week for months on end.
