Thats what Sheridan Smith and Amy Lennox use in Legally Blonde - the dogs go to it and are rewarded with it. The Legally Blonde dogs run off all the time too.

To be honest, I don't think the dog task was his only concern about Jenny, but I do think it was a concern. I will speak from personal experience, saying it takes a while to get someone who is not used to being around dogs to warm up to them to the point where they can actually act like the dog's owner. I never had dogs growing up, and most of my life I was always slightly nervous around them. I would still pet them if I thought they were cute, but it was always a bit awkward.
Two years ago, after my son's years of begging, we finally got a dog. He's a miniature schauzer/bichon frise mix, and I love him, but it took me a few months to actually get used to having him around all the time. It took living with a dog every day for all that time. Thankfully, my husband's family had owned dogs when he was growing up, and he was great with our dog, and he was able to help me adjust as well. Now, I am a lot more comfortable around all dogs, and it is not awkward to pet them or play with them. I noticed the change very clearly about six months after we got our dog, when I went to a friend's house and was immediately pounced upon (in a friendly way) by their large dog, and I didn't freak out one bit. I just laughed and patted the dog and then told him to get down, which he did. Jenny, if she was cast in this role, would not be living with the dog 24/7 so it would probably take her longer to get used to having the dog around than it took me. It is a bit of a big deal. If you've never owned a dog or spent time with dogs on a regular basis, it can take a while to really get used to having one around all the time. That's my thoughts about the dog task, but I also think that wasn't the only reason ALW got rid of Jenny. I don't think he ever saw her as Dorothy, and the dog task was just another reason to add to his list. One side note about dogs--My favorite Toto on the show is Dangerous Dave, mostly because he reminds me of my dog.

He wants either Lauren or Danielle and that was a pathetic excuse, they can train the dog and the leading lady. Jenny wasn't the best but it was a pathetic excuse. Lauren had been in the bottom two before so he is ignoring the public vote.

Oh what a surprise, Andrew LLoyd Webber says he saves Lauren because she's better with dogs and then Lauren comes bottom in the dog challenge, below
Jenny. If that's not the reason he saved Lauren he shouldn't have said it (as Jenny deserves a reason, in cas there's something she can work on) and if it was the reason it was even worse. Personally I think he just has an irrational love of Lauren, which is fair enough, but I still think shed make a terrible Dorothy! |

Maybe he was trying to soften the blow by maintaining that it wasn't a lack of talent that made him reject Jenny....
I'd go and see Jenny over Lauren any day. |

1) Phone lines are now open...
2) VT shown of girls with dogs. Edited to make it look like Jenny didn't have a "rapport" with the dog and the rest of the girls were wonderful with their dogs. 3) As if VT wasn't bad enough, ALW repeats a number of times how important it is the girls bond with the dogs. 4) what a surprise, Jenny is out! ![]() It was a really obviously a way of getting Jenny out. Tonight shows that Lauren was the only girl who didn't have a dog and what do you know, Jenny's dog was brilliant and couldn't be on stage with her quicker enough! Tell me Lord Andy, if it was so important the girls had a rapport with the dog, why was this session held a week before the semi-finals??? |

It's difficult to avoid wondering how the voting would have gone if the VT shown tonight had been the one shown last night during the voting.
I loved Jenny's Send In the Clowns - best performance of the night for me - and think she should have gone further. |

I thought the exact same thing - and I am sure a fair few viewers will feel cheated. However that is the way of these "reality" shows, they are all manipulated every step of the way. I actually thought that it was unfair to show the VT they did tonight. All of it should have been broadcast last night so viewers could weigh up the evidence before voting. Then tonight they could have put an extra number in or just got to the results earlier in the show. That would have been fairer but sadly fair doesn't come into it. |

People might not agree with me here, but I personally think that it's a lot easier to help someone "build a rapport with a dog" (which in itself is rubbish because Jenny handled the next task fine) than to help someone stop sounding "screechy" and "shouty". Especially someone like Lauren who has clearly been taught to have a polished, clinical singing voice.

I wrote an email to the BBC to complain about bias, won't do any good but I felt better after I had written it.
He never liked Jenny from the start, suprised he let her get in final 10. All his comments apart from song bird were about suprised you did it well or not quite what looking for. I reckon he must have had a Scottish Nanny who was mean to him what you think ? Jenny in the acting task was among the top according to Shelia. Charlote was suprised at how good she was at singing at that task. Her and her dog won the task. |

I feel totally manipulated and will be switching off the television now. Why watch girls who have been rejected by the public time and time again battle it out?? ![]() She said ALW had saved the girls who had several times been voted the least liked by the public!!!! ![]() ![]() Quote from today's Telegraph:: "During Saturday night's quarter final show, Lauren was once again lauded for her rendition of a song "none of the other girls could even consider", according to judge John Partridge, while Charlotte Church admitted: "I have to stop fawning over you because it's getting a little embarrassing". |

You would give him more credit if he could actually be subtle but it's so obvious. As someone said the other day the show is losing all credibility because of this constant manipulation. |
