I think there are a lot of children on Facebook though - I've read several posts during the week about having to go to school etc. I think the age range on here is older, attitudes are more mature, eg on here you don't get posts along the lines of 'I'm not going to watch that stupid show any more', when peoples' favourites go out.
I have to say I did have a lot of trouble with the phonelines tonight, and I didn't on previous nights. It affected more than one performer, though, because I've been voting for both Jenny and Steph.
As for phoneline "problems" this series, they may not be as bad as my experience's during ADWD, HDYSAPLM & IDA, but were highly annoying for all that!.
Trying to phone to vote for Steph last night, but just couldnt get through on neither vote window.
I had no problem with my first four votes for the first eviction but when trying to put the second batch in (second eviction) I did have several "this line is busy" messages but did eventually get my four votes in.
This was the first time this has happened to me this series.
If the number takes all votes in randomly and no one sub number gets an unfair share of jammed lines the result should be reflective of the vote. One other past problem was opening the lines in the show to allow the people who went early much more time to recieve a vote after they sang - but they didn't do that again. The only other oddity is that it sometimes looks from reports that the telephone system can't take the call volume originating in one area and that area jams. If only callers in say Wales or Scotland have a problem and there is a strong regional vote it might suggest too much support in those regions jammed that support from getting through. There's no evidence of that though.
