How do you think the girls did in the Wizard of Oz medley tonight? I thought Jess was by far the best, which suprised me. Also Sophie was very good. However, Danielle was poor - that, along with her poor solo makes me wonder if she has vocal problems this week - though nothing was mentioned, but she was so " off" compered to previous weeks. I thougt Steph and Lauren had the worst songs - and Lauren's was very short compared to the other girls.

I wonder how they rehearsed it, not knowing who would be left in. I suppose they all had to learn either all or some of the parts to accomodate one girl leaving.

Not at all. They all sang very different parts that were meshed together. Jenny obvioulsy learnt a differnt part that then wasnt included. Simples.

I watched with a group of people of all ranges tonight, some of whom never watched the show before, and they all agreed that Sophie was the best I obviously nodded in total agreement.
"That ginger one should win", my friend's grandad said while we watched the medley

I thought Sophie was best. Even my dad, who hates reality tv and enjoys ripping what little he sees of it, said she had the best voice. I was pleasantly surprised by how much she stood out in it.

What other songs are in the show??

I thought Jess was the worst but also possibly had the hardest song. She tripped over her words a bit , but it is a bit of a tongue twister.

Steph was good, and hers was maybe the seohe second hardest - the 'sing it high, sing it low' part was really smooth, some of them would have screwed that bit up.

Lauren was impressivly composed considering she's just been in the sing-off.

Altogether it just reminded me why I don;t really rate it much as a musical - whata silly collection of songs!

It actually made me think whoever doesn't win amongst these last few might be better off as the songs from the musical are really not that great.

Some of the more atlented girls can go onto better musicals imo

Danielle really surprised me. Yes she can sing but up till tonight her songs have either been very carefully picked for her or she's just been lucky. For me she was the worst in her song and the medley.

But Lauren sang the last solo of the medley and it was then that "if I only had the part" song was continued by the whole group, wasn't it? If Lauren had been eliminated (if, say, she had been up against Danielle in the sing-off), how would they have coped with that?

Totally agree. Danielle was weak last night.

Loved Jess in the medley but it did seem unfair that she was the only one singing a proper Dorothy song, the others all had ensemble bits of songs that other characters sing ... again just highlights that acting is more imp than singing in this role ....


I thought the same .... whoever was in the sing off had the tinman song, so they must have all def rehearsed that ...

Going on that I'd say it has to be between Steph and Sophie.

I'd say Sophie stood out definitely!! She had a fast wordy part and she handled it effortlessly!! Glad people agree.

Sophie and Jessica Sang well and could envision them playing Dorothy.

Oh yeah i didnt really think of that.

I guess the answer is they all learnt two parts... the tin man part (which they have actually done before on the show i think) and a separate part.

Danielle and Steph disappointed me in the medley while Sophie was amazing..... she has definitely upped her game just at the right moment!

Jess and Lauren, IMO were the best. Danielle had a very bad week, didn't impress me at all!

Loved Steph's "Sing it high, sing it low"- it was very effortless

Yes I was wondering that! It could have been Sophie or else someone he thought could be Dorothy wasn't as 'Dorothy' as he was hoping!

I wondered if it was Danielle - because her voice really struggled on the song she was given in the medley. They've mentioned the fact that she doesn't move very easily between her chest voice and her head voice more than once.

Like Danielle or Steph?
