Hello,
I'm pretty new to Dr who and am enjoying the series so far. I have enjoyed reading the board & all the theories about potential plot lines and I have come up with a few wonderings of my own and thought I would share them.
They are probably more rambalings than anything as I haven't seen the episode in question and am probably clutching at straws & cant clearly Link them - but humor me lol.
Ok so like I said I am new to the world of Dr who - I had no idea who Riversong was or why she knew the doctor so decided to google it and came up with this; http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/River_Song
It states the first episode in which the dr meets her is in series 4 silence in the library episode. In which there is a young girl seeing a therapist about an imaginary world - sound familiar? I now know that this is not Amy pond but a computer/girl (CAL) who is the hard drive of a library with all human history in it.
It later manifests that the girl is the aunt (again familiar?) of the guy who unlocked the library & went to investigate with Riversong. Riversong seems to know a lot about the doctor from a book she has what if this was somehow from the library & also the book about aplans/Angels the she "found" - the doctor then mentions that there is something wrong with the book. It has lots of holes in what if he was referring to the Vashta Nerada hatching from the book?
Also at the end of the 2 parter from the present series Riversong mentions something about - we are all fairy tales - could this comment be about her knowledge of the library?
The current series also has the upcoming episode about dreamworld/realworld - which is also a strong theme in the episode from series 4.
Like I said probably nothing but would like to see what you think it just got me wondering having read somewhere on here that we have already seen the conclusion to the series and we will be left thinking - how did he do that!? Probably just because its Steven Moffat writing and thats where the similarities between the stories end.
