this stupid silly campaign to get leona's outta my head in the charts next month
what are leona fans trying to acheive? i like her but this whole era has been a massive flop. the uk and american charts are rejecting her. i hate to say it but she is stuck in a rut. her whole style needs to switch and outta my head isnt the answer as it is shit. just like the echo album in general.
people are just bored of her. the fact she has zero personality is probably why dull dull dull |

What's the purpose of this thread? There are other Leona threads you could pop your view in on which direction you think she could go in so what's the point of this one?
And it's getting tiring saying she has "zero" personality, if she doesn't cover the papers with some hot-headed opinion or something, it's not that she is just a nice keep-to-herself girl, but instead is that she's "dull" |

I like Leona but I must admit, i doubt this campaign will even launch the song into the top 100. That campaign for 'Untouchable' was far bigger and hyped more yet only got the song to like #112 or something.

ii) top 40 would be nice but not essential. iii) a thing for FANS to do to celebrate Leona's tour since there's no official single to do that. Quote:
i like her but this whole era has been a massive flop.
Off the back of an underperforming worldwide lead single and a severely underperforming second single (due to Leona's sloppy management), Echo has sold over 1.3 million copies worldwide and 600k in the UK. Hardly a flop. More of an underperformance.Quote:

No they are not. If you actually stop being ignorant and educate yourself, she's done well in the UK charts this era with pretty "uncommercial" material. Just not to the crazy levels of the Spirit era. In the US, Happy sold 450,000 copies (despite peaking at #31) and is close to a Gold certification. Due to her stupid management, no follow-up single has been released over there - hence why Echo has such low US sales.Quote:
i hate to say it
Yeah sure you do.Quote:

I'd love to know what music you listen too. Again, Echo might not have hit material but, unlike Ke$ha, Rihanna, Britney etc, Leona sticks to music she believes in which has depth. Outta My Head isn't the best up-tempo she has done - Scene of the Crime is.Quote:

Again, you show your ignorance. Everyone has a personality. She's just not insane like GaGa or attention-seeking like Rihanna and Ke$ha. She actually has these things called morals. Ever heard of them?Quote:
dull dull dull
Just like the post i'm quoting. There's been billions of threads about "Is Leona flopping?", "Leona's got zero personality" and "Leona is boring" so why couldn't you post your comment in those threads? It's such a shame there are loads of people who are in need of education. Ignorance and arrogance aren't attractive. |

As long as X Factor is still going, Leona's albums will only ever be released at the end of the year so Simon Cowell can book her to perform on the live shows to maximize sales. It's no coincidence that she has performed every year on the X Factor live shows since she won. I would bet my house that Echo will be re-released at the end of this year with a new single for her to perform on X Factor, just like with Spirit. Alexandra Burke will probably do the same this year. It's all contrived, Simon Cowell is only bothered about sales figures, and he does absolutely everything possible to ensure his puppets sell as many records as they can, for reasons other than the music itself. If every other singer had those luxuries they would never have to worry about a thing. |

Echo has been a flop considering she got to perform TWICE on X Factor last year in front of millions of viewers each time, and it was timed to take full advantage of the Christmas market (as usual).

Well i hope you keep your house cos a re-release is what she needs so that the general public can see how good Echo is. ![]() I think you'll be homeless by the end of the year though. |

The "I like ___ but [insert silly comments intended to catch the attention of fans and annoy them]" technique is perfect for the simple, unimaginative novice who is just starting out and has only recently found accomodation under their bridge. The lack of mental capacity and experience of the troll who employs this technique is directly proportional to blatant obviousness of their attempt. This technique, however, is foolproof and guaranteed to gain at least a short-term reaction, so even the most simple beginners can have their fun!
