So, which moment convinced you that Matt 'is' the Doctor? That's if he has convinced you at all yet

For me, it would have to be the "So basically......Run!" bit in TEH.

When David Tennant disappeared in a blaze of light.

It was early for me. It was when he was investigating the crack in Amy's bedroom. He stopped acting crazy and went in to Doctor mode. Any nagging doubts died with that scene on the Hospital roof.

I've been watching a few classic era DW to compare and contrast the actors and I think Smith is the most eccentric Doctor we've ever had. I'd say he became the Doctor in the second episode.

Straight away for me. Possibly because it took so long for DT to go!

I don't think I needed much convincing, but I would go for the scene in the kitchen with young Amelia Pond in TEH. When he says:

"Must be a hell of a scary crack in your wall."

After a difficult start, I've slowly been warming to him across episode 4 and 5, but I think last night was the turning point. He became the Doctor for me after two moments, both very differing in tone.

1) Him bursting out of the cake at Rory's hen night.

2) When he said something along the lines of "I'm going to tear this building apart to stop you...because you didn't know her name. You didn't know Isabella's name."

Within a few lines of TEH. To me he was immedaitely 'more' The Doctor than DT had ever been

For me it was when his balls almost got nagged on Big Ben, oddly enough His cry was just so Doctor-ish, specifically Troughton.

But what really hammered it home was:

"Nobody human has anything to say to me today!"

I think its because that was when we saw the direct opposite of his cheerful persona in TEH. We'd seen the other end of the spectrum: downright rage and vulnerability. Something David Tennant, as brilliant as he was, seldom did efficiently (He did this brilliantly when he was John Smith in 'Family of Blood', but he wasn't technically the Doctor then )

I must say it probably was when he kissed his knee while doing a quick check of his features in The Eleventh Hour.

"Can I have an apple?" and walking into the tree were nice Doctory moments for me. It was confirmed when he walked through the images of his previous incarnations and stated:

"Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically...run."

I liked his interview in the Confidential special which introduced him to the world as the next Doctor. He became the Doctor properly as soon as he'd regenerated. I thought he was brilliant.
