"Dr in the cake" Funniest Who Scene Yet?

Rory's initial excitement as the cake is brought in, then his reaction, the look of horror and disbelief when the Dr appears accompanied to "The Stripper", followed by the audiences gasps of shock as he tells how Amy kissed him, and finally the Dr's little speech about 'Lucy' and how she's diabetic (how random is that?!)

For me it's the best comedy moment from any Dr Who story.

What say you?

It did make me smile-the whole cake scene was like a PG-version of "Coupling" or "Cold Feet".

"I thought i'd burst out of the wrong cake... again!"

just rewatched the brilliant scene, didn't hear him say 'again' the first time, which makes it even funnier

Matt smith really is a perfect doctor

Certainly the best comedy moment in Nu Who, and I'm racking my brains to think of a funnier one in Classic Who. No, can't think of one.

No, I can't either. There have been some funny lines before but the cake set-up was brilliant. Poor Rory was so excited at the prospect of some voluptuous stripper popping up and he gets the raggedy Doctor instead.

Its the first time I've heard the Doc say the word 'bikini' too. I shouldn't be so surprised, but if I were a kid watching Classic Who and he said that I would have giggled!

Especially if it was his nickname for Peri.

I adored that scene!
It summed up exactly why i love the Doctor.... he's insanely clever, but totally thick when it comes to relationships and the like!
"someone let her in and give her a jumper? Lucy, lovely girl. Diabetic"
But my favourite bit:
"We need to talk about your fiancee. She tried to kiss me. Tell you what though, you're a lucky man she's a great kisser..... Funny how you can say something in your head and it sounds fine"

<3 matt smith!! His devlivery is fantastic :P

was very funny, though my favorite funny scene remains the poisoning scene in TUATW. This one runs it close though!

The other part I loved in last night's episode was 'stop talking, I'm thinking. hush', and how he nodded Amy and Rory's heads. Funny stuff

And when Guido tried to talk, and he looked pointedly at Rory until Rory covered Guido's mouth.

It was really funny. Total keep digging moment, except being the doctor he doesn't really care which makes it funnier seeing all these guys getting more and more unimpressed lot of funny moments this ep, had me giggling

One of mine too and another favourite, the mime scene in PIC - but that said, I loved the cake scene - the first opening scene of this series I have loved. It was great, written very well and delivered brilliantly.

Not only did this episode contain the funniest scene I've seen for ages, it also considered what I'm sure what many people would call one of the scariest "hide behind the sofa" moments when Amy was in the chair and screamed before getting bitten.

Matt's really proving to be a great Doctor for me to watch. Still not so sure about Amy yet. And as for Rory... Just another in the long line of "dumb" boyfriends/fiancés of the companion. On the whole though, a great episode with great scenes and beautiful scenery.

It was the little sigh before the cut to the opening credits that did it for me: actually laughing hysterically - the first time the opening credits have provoked that response from me.

Can we use the full episode names, the acronyms are doing my head in!

Was a very funny episode, Matt has been great with his comic delivery from the first episode, his 'who da man' line was great.

Yep, LOVED that.

Yeah the cake scene was bloody brilliant. I love how Doctor Who goes from the hilarious, to the creepy, to the scary to the crazy. There's nothing quite like it

a very funny scene, among some good ones in this series so far. I still love the "Youre scottish, fry something" line from episode 1.

I still think one of the funniest was the 2nd part of the End of Time with Tennant's hammy acting, the dreadful "I dont want to go" line that, following the neve-ending lead up - the combination of the three qualities almost ruined what had the potential to be an excellent, moving episode.

Oh and the coloured daleks was funny for all the wrong reasons.

It's the startled look as he pops up that gets me

It's a great scene, highlights why Matt Smith is the perfect person to play the doctor.

Never noticed it when I watched it on TV but he seems to get his hand stuck to the cake just at the end... It caps the scene wonderfully...
