A what?

Do you mean a cross between a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel?

If so make sure both parents have been tested for PRA and hold current clear CERFs. Check for all the many hereditary problems both breeds have - this is extremely important if it is a F2 or higher cross. And make sure it comes with insurance.

And don't pay much more than you would pay if adopting any cross breed from a rescue.

A very expensive cross breed.

OP, I don't know of any cavapoos, however both breeds are prone to quite of a lot of hereditary diseases.

As a crossbreed they can vary greatly - I have had and still have crossbreeds as a preference because I love the unpredictability of how they will look and what traits they will have from each breed. But that wouldn't suit everyone I know.
But it does mean the OP's question cannot really be answered as the dog could be very like a poodle or a cavalier or anywhere in between.

Health testing considering the two breeds must be most important thing to consider as the number of inherited conditions is fairly long

Most pups go to their new homes at 8 weeks so it sounds like these aren't shifting.

For that price to about £800 you could get a pretty decent pure bred Poodle or pure bred Cav from a reputable breeder that has done all relevant health tests for the breed.

Why would you want an older, probably untested cross breed?

I can understand Mollie's attraction to Crosses - I like them myself. Favourite dog ever was a Lab X Staffie (my Nan's dog). But I can't undertand paying the same money for a cross breed as you would for a pure breed where effort has been made to breed a healthy dog to type.

Personally I think for a cross breed that is way over priced ! I have never paid more than £100 for a cross, and as Stress Monkey has said you can a pure breed for that price.

HOW MUCH? Jeepers - I don't charge that for my microchipped, KC registered pedigree pups from two hip and elbow scored, clear eye certificates, DNA Tested for PRA and CNM parents

It's a CROSS BREED - and please note, I have nothing against cross breeds or mongrels - I do however object to them being deliberately bred and sold for ridiculous amounts of money

If you want a cross breed - try rescues, there are literally hundreds of all shapes, sizes and ages looking for good homes - please don't line the pockets of these so called breeders who con people into thinking these dogs are something they aren't
