I'm sorry were we meant to consider the dating history of every Dorothy.

Every girl should have a man as supportive as he is.
My comment was about the fact that the poster said it's double standards having Lauren there as Amy seems just as old, yet even if this is the case she was far less more suitable with a particularly eyebrow raising CV. Lauren is far more believable as a young girl than Amy ever could have been.

Danielle. But then Charlotte Church will butcher him in his sleep...
hehehe.

I think he'd probably save Danielle.

I actually don't know. I think it would depend on the performance next week. Might be closer than we think.

That's the one combination that would be hard to predict. I think probably he'd go with Danielle on the grounds that both have been in the bottom two the same number of times and Lauren is harder to believe in both as a child and as an unsophisticated farm girl.

If the judges praise Lauren so extravagantly as they did this week I think he'll have to save her or he'll be facing a very angry panel in the final!

I'm not sure the panel would be so angry - I think they also worship Danielle (particularly Sheila).

However, I am wondering if ALW may go with Lauren as she is the obvious 'safe pair of hands', she seems resilient and her voice is probably the only one that could survive 6 nights of performances per week. He may go for the safer option as Danielle's voice may not be up to it. Saying that I would prefer him to choose Danielle.

Depends if he is still certain he wants Danielle. If he does anyone else goes. If he doesn't and he's settled for Steph, whoever has least chance against her goes through.

I suspect he'd save Danielle.

And so what if he's biased? He's there to pick the girl who he thinks will be most suited for this role. Of course he has his preferences, just as we do. We get to have our say and then he gets his.

I would save Lauren because of her sustained quality performances against Danielles inconsistent performances, which would concern me with the lead role in a musical requiring back to back performances of quality.

However, the realist in me knows the answer is very likely to be Danielle who certainly looks the part of Dorothy and appears to be ALWs favourite.

the thing that bugs me is it just comes across as blindly falling over Danielle as far as ALW and sheila for that matter are concerned. huge praise that's not entirely wholly deserved. some of it is of course.

an example being the part of the show saturday when they showed each girl acting with the dog. I thought to myself 'ok i wanna see this so called incredible actress that danielle is supposed to be' - ok it was only short but it just didn't happen. and it wasn't because she was..to use an over used word for danielle.. 'subtle'. as i find that a good thing at times, it was just plainly because she acted awkward and poorly..... and yet when ALW gave his little comments about each girls acting performance when he got to danielle he hardly said anything actually about her acting but just said something like 'well i think we have to say danielle's got to be a very strong contender'
why do we have to say that andrew? because you just plucked that out of the air?
i haven't got a problem with him or any of the judges having favourites..it's only natural...we all do..but he's just over the top about her and so is sheila. don't get me wrong...i think she's really good..she's been in my top 4 girls for a while but i guess what i'm trying to say is that she's over-rated. she's good but not THAT good.
i think they've just got stuck in this idea that danielle really looks the part and so therefore has to be dorothy...regardless of her actual ability.

lauren on the other hand always leaves me wanting to applause at the tv after each performance. just pure quality.
of course there's room for improvement, which she will undoubtedly do in her career. but she has the most talent already visible amongst all of them it's clear to see. unless you're someone who 'wont' see it because you have a personal and dare i say..shallow..dislike of her the person not her the performer.

it's certainly looking like danielle will be the winner though...not a complete travesty. not my #1 choice though.

There are circumstances where he might well choose Lauren over Danielle. He is not unaware of the fact that Lauren puts in solid excellent performances each week. That she could sustain 6 or 8 weekly performances. That she can command a stage. That she is more than capable of acting the part of Dorothy.
However against this is his obvious liking of Danielle. He will let her go if she is under par again and Lauren gets praised for another very professional performance.More so if she is given a song that shows how really versatile she can be.

But for either girl to be saved by ALW,there is a trap.It will be an unequivocal public endorsement of that girl as his Dorothy.
Both Danielle and Lauren could suffer as a result.I think there is bound to be a backlash of sorts. It will really depend on how we arrive at that position.
One thought is that both Steph and Sophie are more popular than we are willing to give them credit for.

It would then be a question of the Public simply making their own mind up and ignoring ALW.

My expectation is that Danielle and Lauren won't be in the bottom two.Its then a matter of who keeps their nerve and charms the public over the finish line with them.
I think it is Danielle's to lose, and there is always added pressure on the favourite.I am of the opinion that Lauren is the full package. If she demonstrates this in the final, then it might just be too hard not to vote for her.

By the way, this is not a prediction. It is an explanation of how Lauren could win, against the more beguiling Danielle.

And we're forgetting that Dorothy is meant to be a young girl and Lauren looks like she's in her late 20s? I mean none of them look twelve, but she looks old enough to be Sophie's and Stephanie's teacher.

I'm not saying Amy was suitable for Dorothy, far from it, I'm saying Lauren is just as unsuitable.
Do you really think so ??

Without all the makeup I`d think she`d pass for 17/18 ..

Without a doubt he'd save Danielle. His favouritism has been obvious since the beginning.
