Dare I say it, I really like the judges!

I find all the judges to give worthwhile and good advice to each of the girls.

Shelia Hancock is a very good actress and so naturally she is looking as to how the girls interpret the songs and I find myself nodding in agreement at her. Usually she's right if the performer hasn't really given it enough or hasn't really conveyed the emotion that was mean't to be shown.

John Partridge is obviously loving being very involved in the whole process and I think his comments are usually very true. As much as I love Sophie, I agreed with him when he said she won't feel the stage at the moment. However she is getting better and better and I agree with Shelia when she says that she will be terrific when she lets herself go.

Charlotte Church dosnt give as honest advice I think. She is very keen to be popular with the girls it seems and dosnt usually give them anything to help improve there performance. She praises them, which is fine and she does it very well, but I think she needs to give more open advice
for the performers to latch onto and therefore improve.

You can complain about them, but compare them to the utter tripe of judges you get on BGT. Obviously just rating grabbing people who just don't know talent when they see it. Amanda Holden said Susan Boyle had no longevity which clearly sums up her judging ability. I'm not surprised Simon Cowell is jumping ship and getting away from them for a while!

I like John and Charlotte.

I liked Sheila at the start but rapidly went of her. Her comments get weirder by the week. Performances must be performed the way she would perform it. What happened to interpreting a song yourself???

I like them. I usually agree with them, though I suppose it helps Im a Danielle fan. I think Sheila goes overboard with praise for Danielle though. Not that she isnt brilliant, but blatant favouritism doesnt help her cause. I agree with all the others most of the time - though Charlotte has the favouritism for Lauren, and I still cant imagine Lauren in the role of Dorothy. She's still too polished. I want to see her really vulnerable, really living a song then maybe.

I think they are very nice to most of the girls, and are supportive of them. I think Charlotte is a bit of a fan of Lauren's, amazed by her even.

I think it's certainly the best ALW judging panel so far.

I really like John, I think he's supportive but not afraid to have an opinion and I find myself agreeing with virtually everything he says

Charlotte gushes a bit but not half as much as DVO did and her technical comments on the singing are really constructive

Didn't like Sheila much as a judge to begin with but I can sort of tolerate her as a 'character' now, given that no-one seems to pay a blind bit of notice to anything she says

And best of all none of them is John Barowman

I like the judging on this show more than on the XF. The show is about the artists rather than the judges and they are more respectful and constructive in their critisism. Andrew LLoyd Webber especially seems mindful of the fact that the girls are trying to build careers in the industry and he doesn't put them down the way Simon does or make cruel comments in the name of entertainment. When he decides who is being eliminated he usually stresses that they are not right for the role of Dorothy but I think he is generally encouraging and positive about their strengths as performers .

I love John and Charlotte. Sheila has irritated me more and more each week because she seems to think if they don't interpret a song the way she would they are wrong. Saying that, I'd take Sheila any day over pervy Barry Humphries.

I'm not crazy by Charlotte. I think the problem with her is that she's never had to work her way up. Both John and Sheila have paid their dues. They started at the bottom, and have earned their place on the panel. Charlotte was discovered as a child singer, and has been handed a career on a plate. I think she takes it all for granted, and simply doesn't have the experience to give measured, constructive advice.

The new judging panel has really added to my enjoyment of this series.

Yes Sheila can be a bit too demanding sometimes and Charlotte interrupts a lot and John's "fierce!" comment was just so cringey! But overall all three have been quite insightful and have brought something different to the table.

I'd love to see this trio of judges return next time.

I think they're really good too. Much better than other judges on talent shows!

I agree... the catherine zeta comment should not have been made after on my own... she should have saved it for later.... i think some of the comments are becoming detrimental to her future in the show.... but at least we know if not dorothy sheila will cast her

i love danielle I think thats why i love the judges!!!

I think Charlotte looks bored a lot of the time. Even if you are bored, as a judge, you have to appear as if you're paying attention and show a bit of enthusiasm. Charlotte's inexperience as a judge (and short attention span) is showing through. I was genuinely shocked when, in last weekend's OTR, Graham asked Charlotte something and she looked completely baffled - she clearly hadn't been listening and couldn't even attempt to ad-lib or to make light of the situation.

I like Sheila, but she does seem a bit uncomfortable at times. She does know her stuff, though and at least tries to make an effort to look interested. I do get the impression that she's regretting getting involved, though, which is a pity, because she talks a lot of sense, and would be an asset to any judging panel.

John Partridge seems to be trying to be John Barrowman, but is failing dismally. He may know his stuff, but he lacks personality. And the fake tan is getting worse every week.

Overall, there doesn't seem to be the sense of fun with this panel that there has been previously. Barry Humphries aside, the previous panels seemed to gel really well as a group and enter into the spirit of the thing. That's lacking with this panel, who, as a group, have no interaction with each other, or with ALW. Even their interaction with Graham seems a little awkward.

Perhaps it's inexperience at being a judging panel, though having recently rewatched some bits of ADWD, what struck me was how well the panel of John Barrowman, Denise VO, Bill Kenwright and Zoe Tyler gelled. Both Denise and Bill were new to the panel and to judging, yet they seemed to get into the swing of things very quickly.

I like Sheila, I wish they had more acting challenges that she could give feedback on, it's difficult every week when she has to comment on their ability to interpret the words of mostly pop songs when the singing comes foremost and the dancing usually comes second. The Dorothy chosen will have to be a very strong actress - as ALW has said, dancing and singing can be "tweaked" in the rehearsal stage - but the audience hasn't really been given much insight into the contestants' acting ability. I hope some time is devoted to acting in the semi-final this weekend.

John Partridge reminds me of Denise Van Outen, neither adds anything useful to the programme. Almost every time he speaks I think what were you watching. On Saturday he said to Jenny he only like her doing uptempo number, yet he slated her doing 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love'. He praised Emilie's 'The Boy Does Nothing'.

He's so false, if they do another of these shows I hope he's not back and the BBC should make them bring back John Barrowman.

I really like Charlotte

Sheila gets on my nerves a bit.

John makes me smile when a Dorothy is singing and the camera pans to him and he is smilling away.
