The strongest singer? The strongest singer is Lauren. The best singer is Danielle.
Sophie has done well to make it this far imo. Stunning looking, nice girl, average acting skills but that is where it ends. ![]() |

Over my dead body.
Roll on mediocre reviews and a shortened season of Wizard of Oz. |

I think out of the remaining four, Sophie and Danielle have the best likeness to the character of Dorothy - their look could pass for a niave, inoccent farm girl and their tone of voice too.
I think Steph has quite a youthful presence for her age, but her voice is very mature and not as natural a fit as either Danielle or Sophie's. I think Lauren has a cracking voice, but absolutely everything, from her movement, to her face, to her tone just screams too much maturity and sophistication for this role. But while I think Sophie is on level-pegging with Danielle on the natural fit for the role, I think her actual abilities are lacking at this point. She hasn't really had one standpoint performance. A good one here and there, but nothing that sticks in my mind as Wow. As another poster put it she has no stage presence. I look to her for her striking features and her pleasant voice, but after that I get bored as nothing she does seems to hold my attention. So that's why I'd pick Danielle as the best girl for the role. But I think Sophie could do well with some training and will get there eventually. And Steph and Lauren must surely get something in the West End off the back of this. |

I do like Sophie, she has a lovely voice and is very pretty but I think she needs to build her confidence and stage presence a bit before taking on a huge west-end role. She always looks, to me, a bit too scared all the time and when I'm watching her, I worry a bit, but maybe that's just me. When I saw the rehearsal of her song this week in one of the VTs, her performance seemed better than the actual live performance - her movement across the stage, and that sort of thing - it just seemed a bit more comfortable.
I've liked her from the beginning though, so if she does win, I'd be happy, and she does fit the role well. I'd like Dannielle to win, but if not her, then Sophie. Steph is brilliant, and very professional, but I don't think she's Dorothy as she comes across too 'old' for the role, but she's definitely west-end material. I've never really thought much to Lauren, her voice is great but apart from that, I don't really have much to say about her. |

I think Sophie would make a great Dorothy and I disagree with those who say she doesn't have stage presence. In group numbers I tend to notice her the most. Also, she will have many months to work on her performance and voice by which time I am sure she will be terrific

No. I am truly perplexed as to why she is still there.

No and no. I honestly don't think she could handle the pressure. She looks close to tears most of the time. I am sure the pressure is getting to her.

Sorry but no. To be honest my ideal situation tonight would have involved Sophie being in the bottom two and leaving. I think she's a lovely girl and is very talented- her singing voice is so pretty to listen to. However, I also think she needs more time to gain confidence and training. I'd love to see her a couple of years down the line, because I do genuinely think she has the potential to go far. At the moment though she's the one girl I worry about falling apart every week. In the group numbers she's great when she has a solo line to sing, the rest of the time I barely notice her. When she's on her own she just looks a bit nervous. I want to support her because she does look like a Dorothy and she'll probably be fine if she gets the role, but it's the "probably" that bothers me. I'm certain the others would cope, I'm not at all sure that Sophie would. I want her to go to drama school with Jessica, Bronte, Emilie etc and come back into the West End in a couple years, shocking us all with her talent.

A Sophie vote for me. I'd be happy for any of the girls really except Danielle. Can't stand her, or the favouritism she's getting.

I like them all but Sophie and Danielle are the only ones I can see as Dorothy out of the 4 left. Jenny was my favourite now shes out don't mind who wins but kind of hope it's Sophie

She's my first choice narrowly over Danielle. I'd be happy to see either of them win.

I like Sophie; she is a good singer and a real stunner to look at. But I think the other girls are stronger (including the two who went home this week). I think Steph would be the best choice now. |

Would prefer Jenny, Jessica, Stephanie, Dani or Bronte though.....which is itself a first because I usually like who comes second and even when they were not my favourite they made the SF too. This time its a SF of people who have been in the bottom two none of whom shout out to me come and see me more than once. Its going to be very interesting to see who if anyone ends up in Aoife or Sarah's role. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see someone else drafted in from outside the top 4. |

As Lloyd Webber said, the medley of OZ songs at the end of the Saturday show was an eye-opener for him (and for me). Why? for me it was because the the last 3 outsung and outperformed the first 2, and guess what the first 2 were in the sing-off of the Sunday show (anybody's guess about ALW's view).
Typically in these Reality shows, some contestants grow, others peak too soon and go backwards, others stagnate and others give up. Sophie is the only grower, you can see her confidence growing with every show and this week was a massive leap. Partridge is wrong in suggesting that she doesn't believe she can win, everything has changed for her this week. If this growth continues over the next 2 weeks then she will win. |

There's something about Danielle that I just don't like (can't put my finger on what it is), Lauren's a great singer but I'm not sure she's Dorothy for me (though sh's my second choice). Steph to win. |

Her acting isn't up to scratch and I agree with the panel that she doesn't put 100% on her performances - there is something missing but I guess they could work on that. Her look is right and she has a lovely quality to her voice - her acting is definitely the weakest of the remaining four.
I think Danielle is the best all rounder although I thought she gave a below par performance vocally on Saturday night |

Yep, she's been my dorothy from the beginning.
I think Sophie and Lauren have the best voices, but I think Sophie is better for Dorothy, shown by her performance in the medley - she was far and away the best imo.

Okay, in the interest of fairness - and because I don't want to revise for my exams - I went back and watched most of Sophie's performances again, because I didn't really pay much attention to her until recently. And while she has a beautiful, distinctive voice, all of her performances are dramatically inert, uninteresting and often pretty awkward....can anyone explain to me what they actually see in her that makes them think she could act the role of Dorothy?

I think Sophie's got heaps of potential but if she doesn't look like she's enjoying herself on stage (she even looked on the verge of tears singing Wonderful World!), then she has no hope of taking an audience with her. So it's a no, not yet from me.
Danielle is still the best fit for the role, but I could envisage Sophie making a good showing in the voting this week, especially if she's given a good song. I think she's bound to pick up a few underdog/sympathy votes (particularly from people who, for some reason, want to stick it to ALW). Steph and Lauren are excellent all-rounders but would do better in more sophisicated roles. |

Not for me. Based on what she has done so far, I think she is lucky to still be there. She looks very striking but needs work on both her singing and dancing, even her movement. John P got it spot on this week when he said she didn't give a big enough performance, she is at her best when looking straight down the camera. Having been in the studio audience twice, I agree that she doesn't come across the same when you are watching her on a stage. That is not what the TV audience see, but is what the audiences of WofOz will!
However its a TV audience that will have the final vote, and she seems very poular...so who knows? I also think it is narrow minded to have decided now, there are several more performances to go and so she still has a chance to impress me. So far she really hasn't and all of the other three finalists have done so much more. |
