I've never got their appeal. Not tuneful enough to be a proper guitar pop group, not technically good enough or creative enough to be a proper experimental/out-there thing, too indebted to Manchester in 1991 to move properly into electronic stuff. They just sort of sit on a boring fence and somehow get away with it.

I've not been an Oasis fan since What's the Story, when the coke started taking over and all their quirkiness got drowned in Real Rock. Having said that, they have managed the odd listenable tune since then.

In terms of bands I don't understand why they have the audience they have, I nominate 3OH!3. Not funny, not clever, not good.

I would suggest that most bands which gain any kind of commercial prominence are pretty terrible, or at least become terrible since gaining said commercial prominence (e.g. Kings of Leon). IMO, of course.

I think Cute Is What We Aim For are pretty crap.

Few good songs and quirky band name, but they are pretty meh compared to the other bands on their record label.

No way, not Kasabian. I know they may look like they'd tw*t you one if you crossed them but their albums are always very impressive and creative. The last one made me think 'Okay, these guys are at the peak of their game'.
They're one of the few bands I have fallen in love with recently while most of the other bands seem to be stuttering.

Probably the worst bands according to my tastes (I know they are popular, but just can't stand them myself) include Take That, JLS and any heavy metal band.

I haven't actually heard any music by Scouting for Girls, but from reading this thread, that's probably for the better.

Hate threads like this. Negativity for negativities sake. What really is the point? Most posters on here can't distinguish the difference between something they personally "don't like" and something that is actually "Terrible". Just because you don't like a certain band it does not automatically make them rubbish musicians/singers/songwriters etc.

Everyone has different tastes. I agree with pharoah. Their earlier works was good. But now, IMO they are are shite. Because you may percieve something as one thing, doesn't mean another will see it the same way. That's what music's all about

As much as I see your point that opinion doesn't always relate to the fact, the forum is built for all sorts of threads to be made, if it's possible for Appreciation threads to be made, then whose to say the opposite isn't possible?
