quite happy jess is gone
im sorry to all her fans but im so happy shes after flying off on that moon....
her over the top facial expressions were cringey and annoying!!!!! her voice was average at best and her "im quirky" attitude was so annoying....and dont start me on her dancing... i can see her being in musical theatre but she defo wasnt dorothy...too gawdy and not a good enough voice...she also lacked the sweetness to play dorothy... anyway sorry to her fans but just had to vent lol..... auf wiedersehen jess!!! |

That's fair enough - we're all entitled to our opinions.
I'll miss her something rotten though

I suppose that's why the audience gave her a standing ovation, and even John looked as if he'd made a mistake with all his bad comments about her.her voice was average at best and her "im quirky" attitude was so annoying. Good luck Jessica, you'll go much further than your detractors ever will. |

I honestly can't believe she lasted this long, but it seems some people like what she has to offer, so, inexplicable as it is to me, I dare say she will find a place somewhere in MT.

I really liked her, wasn't sure about her suitability for Dorothy but she will do well and she sang the sing off song FAR better than Danielle.

Absolutely hated her. So, so glad she's gone. Andrew said his eyes were opened on Saturday after they sang Wizard of Oz songs. Jessica couldn't pronounce her words. A Dorothy who can't say "witch". Ha.

Good luck Jessica, you'll go much further than your detractors ever will. Every potential Dorothy gets a SO when they have been booted off. I like your interpretation of the look on JP's face!! I read it as constipation, but we'll never know will we? I'm pretty sure she will not go further than me in my chosen field of work, just as I will not go further than her in hers. It was the right time for her to go I think - if she'd stayed much longer, it would have made the final two shows too precictable. |

I'm elated she left......Dorothy was never going to be the role for her. Her trucker like moves didn't help either.
Having watched "You Have Been Watching" and seeing her sneer at Sophie (they presumed it the other way round and she was sneering at Emily) that was the final straw with me. Having said that - she was very honourable in defeat. |

From the auditions Jess was my favourite. I was disappointed with her performance the first few weeks but then she did a good cabaret and another good attempt this week with a strange song choice.
Saying that I do not think the role of Dorothy was right for her. I can see her in so many other things but not on the yellow brick road. I am sure, however, she will benefit from the exposure the series has given her and well done on such a gracious exit. |

I do think she was quirky and a real 'stage' person - but she wasn't right for Dorothy.
Steph to win for me

I think it was the right time for her to go, and agree with Sheila saying she has to be careful with her "I'm so quirky" image.
Of the 4 left, I think Sophie should go next. Steph to win

I thought Jess was ok to listen to but found her annoying to watch and always left the room when she was on.

I'm glad she's gone too. Could finally buy a ticket to the show.
She says Quirky, I say annoying. |

I'm also quite happy she has gone. The quirky act was getting very tedious, but more of a worry for me was her speech impediment. All credit to her she has an amazing voice, and I'm not going to criticise her (or anyone else) for being vocally impaired, but every time she sang all I could hear was her lisp and her tongue filling her mouth up and making her pronunciation...clouded.
And J*sus what a horrible voice she had when she spoke. She sounded like a northern "Sloth" Fratelli from the Goonies. |

i can see why her fans like her, but her performances just didn't do it for me. i also found her weird lispy thing quite off-putting, it made her singing jar a bit for me. i wish her success, but i don't think she was right for the part.
and the 'quirky' thing grated on me SO much. someone who keeps banging on about being 'quirky' is not a quirky person. they are an attention seeking one. |

I found her dreadfully hammy and cringey, and her performance of "Rehab" made me want to vomit at the TV, but to be fair I thought she got better as time went on. That, or I got used to her.
Still, watching her for two hours on stage would probably drive me a bit scatty. |

I always say how rude it is of people to criticise so harshly.
Sure enough, opinions are entitled, as is constructive criticism, but to make personal hurtful remarks is uncalled for. IMO Jess was a brilliant MT performer, and it is largely down to her acting and facial expressions. They would be seen at the back of the stalls, and every audience member would leave having felt involved in the show. Jessica's SO was premature, so obviously she had a lot of supporters in the studio audience that night. I think she will go far, and fair enough if other don't, but, again, please don't be downright rude about these young girls. |
