The Wedding

Not much speculation on this, but its obviously a big plot-point in the series.... will the wedding happen?? Will it merge with the series finale?? what disaster might unfold??

the cracks in time somehow accord with Amy and the focus seems to be on her wedding day, and now Rory is on board, this only serves to concentrate the picture.

Something is amiss with both of them.

I have a feeling the Doctor still isnt fully regenerated, and he and the TARDIS are in flux. If its taking time for you to get to grips with Matt Smith, I think there's a reason for this. There's gonna be some kind of surprise in store.

Enjoying the series so far, not a 10/10 but it's evolving.

I can't imagine something as literal as a bomb would cause an explosion capable of tearing apart the universe, so I imagine there's something about the wedding that causes an insanely huge temporal paradox. Any guesses?

Mine's as good as any's guess.

Rory AND Amy both had something to do with time-travel even before 11 came in their life.
Their wedding will cause these two different 'times' to collide.

Never mind Rory and Amy.

What about Amy's aunt who left her all alone in episode one and has never been mentioned since by Amy?

I thought it was a bit strange that Rory wasn't fazed by the TARDIS and knew about the inside being another dimension.

I know he said he'd read upon it, but he'd never seen inside so how did he know what to read up on?

I found that very odd too.... the was he seemed so unphased by the whole thing. even if he had read up on it and knew how it worked, surely he'd still be a little impressed? It's one thing reading about it... seeing it's entirly different!
And i wonder how many books have info on the workings of a TARDIS.... most strange!

Don't forget, he's had fourteen years of living in the Doctor's shadow - two of them knowing that the Doctor, and all the stories Amy told, were real. He knows about the blue box, with the library and the swimming pool - you can bet he's been reading up on anything even theoretically related.

Personally, I like Rory having the chance to match wits with the Doctor, even if he can't match heroics.

Firstly the library and swimming pool only can have been mentioned by 7 year old Amy (reason to go the psychs).
And even then, as <xoxRaz> said, reading it's THEORIES and seeing it in REALITY are quite a different thing.
If it would have happened to me, I would have been running around, and not only giving a dry comment on that it's a different dimension,
would you??

Depends on whether I was jealous and angry, and dead-set on showing the owner that I wasn't impressed.

And feeling a little bit smug that said owner was a little peeved that I wasn't impressed!

I get the feeling that maybe the explosion will be sort of self fulfilling...

The cracks in time will lead Amy/Rory/Doctor to a set place at a set time (Amy's Wedding), and then in trying to stop them, on that day, at Amy's wedding, they end up causing them by trying to stop them... cause if they stop the explosion then the cracks wouldn't have existed to start with, so they couldn't have tried to stop them, therefore they do exist... So the cracks sort of cause themselves.

Does that make sense?

But he saw the Tardis dematerialise with his own eyes; saw a great big flying spaceship with a giant eyeball sticking out its bottom, and an alien that could take on different forms. So one would imagine that in the two years that passed, he probably talked to Amy quite a bit about what she remembered, her pictures etc., plus as he said, did a bit of research into that kind of thing.

How do you know he didn't run around at first? When we first saw him in the Tardis, they must have been in there for a little while cos the Doctor was busy welding in the bottom level, under the console. So we never saw his initial reaction.
