I was in the OTR audience on Saturday, and we were instructed to watch the film of her performance and provide reaction noise, so the clapping along etc was actually Saturdays audience watching the VT. If you watch closely you can see that the audience watching Tamsin isn't clapping , but you can hear loud clapping (that was us!)

I believe she has been ill last week, but I'm not sure if she was when she recorded that segment. She clearly appeared in Sweet Charity on opening night, but was off the next day (Wednesday) when I went. Tiffany Graves played Charity and was excellent.

I agree that Tamsin seemed a little lacklustre, but its a very busy number with a lot of choreography. Must be hard to do out of the context of the show. Don't forget, all the OTR routines the girls do are arranged for TV. I think she danced really well, and none of the Dorothys would have been up to that standard, even if they could have managed the vocal.”

Thanks marks thespot for posting, that is most interesting. Just goes to show the lengths the BBC will go too, to fool the viewers.
They underestimate what a clever bunch we are and will soon see through any attempts at deception.

Would she not have been performing when the show was recorded anyway?

I guess you are right, but why could the BBC not say they had to record her segment instead of going to such pretence that she was live.
Like their pretence of Sunday's programme is on a Sunday when I'm sure everyone knows it's recorded from Sat.

Yes, unless she was still unwell she would have been on stage at the Theatre Royal Haymarket!

She was OK, Charity is supposed to be a bit gauche. You see, without Sheila Hancock's in-depth analysis of the acting and interpretation of the song, most people don't know what to think!

Yep, she was definitiely on stage at the theatre when the OTR episode was recorded. I was there watching her and she was extremely good.
