I was fuming when I saw that clip on Sunday, when the Dorothys were calling the dogs! Jenny wasn't a particular favourite of mine but ALW did himself no favours using that as a reason to send her home - ludicrous.

Mind you I don't know why I'm surprised - ALW still expects me to believe that two separate shows are filmed each weekend

I think she was her own downfall actually.

She was a truly lovely and talented girl but she oepnly admitted that she could not dance and that she was not that good with dogs.

If you going for a job interview, you kind of need to really self yourself and definitely not advertise your weaknesses.

It was sweet that she was able to admit things she is not so good at, but I think that might have put voters and the panel off her.

Lauren is the other extreme of total self-belief, but with good reason I suppose. I think the best is a more mid-way position like Steph and Danielle.

I wish Jenny all the best, loved songbird one of the best performances of the series. She will no doubt do very well. But girls who leave in an ungracious way will only do harm to their futures.

I don't understand why ALW couldn't have just said something like I think Lauren has the edge vocally, or I think Lauren is a slightly stronger performer and that's why I'm not saving you rather than giving the daft reason he did.

Her fans aren't the issue; all the girls will have their fans who vote for them regardless, but this series from the bottom two's we've been seeing this series would seem to have an unusually high number of "floating voters" and they're the ones who might have decided not to vote for Jenny because of the rubbish about the dog.

Irritating as it was when he gave that as a reason for saving Lauren, it's not really the point. That happened once she was already in the bottom 2, and he can save who he likes then, though I'd have more respect for him if he gave the real reason (he's perfectly capable of putting it diplomatically, and it's not like Jenny is rubbish even if Lauren was better).

It's the fact that Jenny was being portrayed as someone who couldn't work with dogs during the voting.

It's not clear that Jenny was in any way responsible for the dog running off. The dog on Sunday night's task didn't. The Saturday night task dog might just have been tired or bored by that time. I wouldn't say therefore that Jenny "messed up".

Which she hasn't, so all should be fine

Jenny has said enough, but not too much that she looks bitter. Good!

I actually think she's done it very cleverly as well, and the way she's worded things will do her more good than harm. Anyone who read that will probably have watched the show as well and will no doubt agree.

I don't think this clip would have affected her votes at all. Most people would know it takes more than one try to bond with a dog and wouldn't judge her on that. She would have had plenty of time to bond if she had the part. No, I think people had other reasons for not voting.

It does seem quite... interesting... that they chose to show this one clip, clearly highlighting Jenny as the weak link during the voting time, that's all. Do you really disagree with that?

In my opinion, it was basically "You have 15 minutes to vote... DON'T VOTE FOR JENNY SHE'S TERRIBLE"

I completely disagree. Every time a girl left Jenny always looked genuinely upset about it and she's one of the ones they always cut to when the girl was flying on the moon and emotion was written all over her face.

Exactly, she was totally stitched up. It's like phone lines opened, dog clip was shown, then ALW kept going on about how essential it is that Dorothy has to bond with the dog etc.

Really? She was spot on emotionally every solo performance, the sing off and Over The Rainbow.

Yes, I thought that too. It was a stupid reason and didn't hold water as we saw Jenny bonding with the dog later. It was a shame.

I'm talking about acting not being. I don't see that Lauren is emotionless at all when performing. I like Jenny enormously and loved her performances but she was no more emotional (probably less better at conveying it IMO) than Lauren.

You can tell that's what Jenny was basing her performance on.

Don't foget that Jenny is only 18-years of age and has not trained like Lauren, who at 22 has graduated in drama and has already done several 'professional' acting jobs so she is bound to be so much more experienced and has appeared in public on many occasions!!!

Hopefully there's room on a west end stage for all of the girls as they are all talented! Maybe Bill Kenwright will set something up for them!

Fair enough. But I also don't think Lauren's performances lack emotion - she does herself IMO but I do think she can act emotion.
