I'm really growing impatient with being left behind other TV providers:
- no HD content
- no access to 'red button' services
- no option to multi room, other than to pay for a whole new account

It's comes to something when you find being given access to subtitles is a major breakthrough

Anyone else also feeling this way or is it just me?

Wow! Until you pointed that out, I had resigned myself to the fact that it was never gonna happen. Was this announced at all?!
I completely agree about the other things too - esp red button

I don't think it was announced, but I can tell you that the subtitles are handled far better than Freeview digital boxes - press the Text button on the remote to toggle on and off* instantly, no waiting for them to kick in And they're very sharp and neat.

*On my +box the default seems to be "on".

Wow, we have subtitles! On the IPTV too! Weirdly they only work with the 'text' button on the new black remote, not with the 'text' button on the old silver Homechoice remote. Also doesn't pressing 'text' sort of imply that you would get teletext rather than subtitles? Not that teletext is any use these days.

If memory serves, you can set the default to be on or off in MyTV->TV Settings->Subtitles (or similar)

Something new....finally. Let's hope this is the first in a line of extra features. The service needs some serious attention. You can see just from this forum that the subscriber base is currently dwindling. More features, more availability, and some advertising would be nice.

From what I've read, Talk Talk will not invest substantially nor promote its ex-Tiscali TV platform pending development and approval of Project Canvas.

If this platform is approved, I assume TalkTalk will in time move all existing TV subscribers over to it. If not, Tiscali will have to take a view on the existing inhouse TV platform and whether to drop or develop.

I don't see anything significant happening to TalkTalkTV either way until Project Canvas is approved or rejected.
