I totally agree with this post. There is an acceptance amongst the girls that ALW has selected his Dorothy and no matter what she will be saved. I saw the girls perform live and I found Danielle to have no 'rawness' I found her performance over rehearsed, almost mechanical. In the theatre performances change and (should change )each evening as the performer takes into consideration the audience and other external factors. Danielle is not an intuitive performer like Jesica. Jessica picks up on cues and adapts her performance - I feel that Danielle has yet to learn this skill. I do hope that Jessica is offered something and that her talent does not go unnoticed. She is a jewel .

I was sad to see Jess go ,she had so many expressions you had to watch her perform,with Danielle I find her very boring to watch ,good voice but thats all.

The problem with Danielle is that she has only ever sung one really good song (Mambo). And last week's performance was was very poor. Danielle's interpretation of songs are very subtle to say the least and invariably include blinking and a furrowed brow!

I agree. I think Danielle is over-rated and I think the public are in agreement as this is reflected in her being in the bottom two more than once. I appreciate the judges may like the quality of Danielle's voice but I often find her phrasing stilted and awkward.

There's another issue in there though - why can't Dorothy be like Jessica? The pre-asumption sems to be that Dorothy has to be like Judy Garland. My assumption is people won't watch a Judy Garland who can't match the voice or characterisation - and as none of them have done that (yet) he's in trouble . People will however watch someone with elements of an Annie or a young Calamity Jane or a Tracey Beaker for the kids.

I think this is a very good point.

Danielle and Jessica both did well, but Jess was a "bigger" (stage) performance, Danielle was more for screen. Danielle was probably a bit more accurate, but she didn't, for me, make enough of the key line in the song, which is where she tells the other woman that she knew before.

Either could have done the part of Dorothy, but differently. There is a lot of time to iron out things like breath and voice control, and intensity of acting. Now that Danielle has gone through I wish she would climb out of her shell, there is so much more talent to show I feel, and wish her well - probably the best option left for the role.

We were very impressed with Jessica's guts and professionalism in the last parts of the show. Her "Rainbow" was amazing.

I am a big fan of Danielle but i was also a big fan of Jessica.... I thought the were both amazing in the sing off...
people keep saying that the judges have said that danielle has one of the best voices but i rememeber one of the judges (dont know which) say that danielle has not got the best voices...
I do believe that ALW made the right choice in choosing danielle to stay as i just didnt see jess as dorothy as much as i liked her.....

I think ALW said she is a better actress than she is a singer and that there are better singers in the competition. xx

Not a fan of J but think both of these should have been in the final three...
