Giving this a miss.

Watching adults being smug and self important can be amusing when they come unstuck. Watching kids being smug and self important makes me want to kick the telly in, and I don't want to do that, I like my telly.

I'll watch to see how Karen Brady gets on. She'll never live up to the legend that is Margaret Mountford though.

Could be interesting.
The biggest flaw in "Adult Apprentice" is that if the candidates were anywere near as good as they think they are, then by their age they should already be in positions too important to leave to go on a reality show.
At least these teenagers are of a credible age to be 'taking time out'.

I had to laugh. I was on the train today listening to the radio and that idiot Ben Clarke, who was on it last year. He kept going on about how ruthless he was last year.

Funny that, I don't remember him being ruthless whatsoever, just an absolute plonker.

I'll be watching.

Looks interesting.

I do miss the normal apprentice though!

Does this mean no proper apprentice this year

Still going to watch tonight, looking forward to it.

I am just working my way through the American Apprentice, not as good as our one but it's ok. Ivanka Trump is lovely

The 'proper' Apprentice will be airing later in the year - have no idea when though. It was delayed due to the election.

I remember him waffling on about Sandhurst every opportunity he got, and shouting 'Let me finish!!' in the boardroom a lot. Would definitely not call him ruthless. If anyone was ruthless in that show, it was Debra. Or Yasmina.

Having read this it would appear some of the brats on Junior Apprentice are as bad as the contestants on the grown-up version

After watching it last night on BBC3, I agree that the kids were just as bad as the adults. Jordan de Coucy, the one who was eliminated, appears to have be born with a silver spoon in his mouth and looked down on everyone. He reminds me of Nicholas de Lacy Brown. Can anyone else see it?

The girls leader did nothing to help her team It was all in the one who looks like a cross between Paula Yates and Lucina Ledgerwood. I was PMSL when the leader cried when she "wasn't allowed to sell." The Paula/Lucinda one has got some fire in her belly, but she let herself down with "Oh SirAlan, I was so great. I sold a big block of cheese all on my own because I'm so fantastic!" Alert - backstabber on the girl's team - don't know her name!

Am looking forward to next week. This could become my guilty pleasure.

You would be kicked out of the boardroom straight away, its Lord Sugar now lol.

I like your description of Zoe as a cross between Paula Yates and Lucinda the beret wearer from last years adult Apprentice. Zoe really is very ruthless in the way she kind of took over the task. Why didn't she put herself forward for Project Manager in the first place?

Looking forward to next weeks episode

Probably because she wanted to avoid the chance of being fired, but still wanted the control which she took anyway when she basically told Habah to get lost.

I agree. The first one is always going to be the risky one. It is very unlikely that the loosing team's PM will survive, unless you have a complete idiot like de Lacy Brown on your team!

I think it's awful to put these kids on telly and make them behave with this revolting naked ambition. KIds shouldn't be this cold. Saying things like "I would get rid of anybody not performing in my company"

I think their parents are scumbags for 1) bringing up their kids to be prats and 2) for allowing their pratiness to be displayed to the whole country.

Shameful stuff

That's not really true. I keep records for the main Apprentice:

Year 1: Saira losing PM, Adenike fired.
Year 2: Ben losing PM, and got fired.
Year 3: Andy losing PM, and got fired.
Year 4: Alex losing PM, Nicholas fired.
Year 5: Mona losing PM, Anita fired.

So the PM who loses the first task has been fired only 2 times out of 5, which is pretty close to being saying they have an equal chance in the boardroom (which would be 2 out of 6).

Also, 2 times out of 5 the losing PM went on to be a finalist (Alex and Saira). So it didn't hurt their chances at all.

Just watched some of this on catch-up ... wow. Maybe it's too mean to be nasty about people who are only 16/17 .... I guess people are kindly holding back from commenting, because they are young?
