I am so looking forward to SB and ''She's So Creepy'' it's a shame Taylor Swift has sparked the feud and seems intent on debasing KP but the SB is an opportunity for her to rassert herself .

Also listening to Prism such a strong album that unlike it's predecessors grows and hangs together well still.

Bit of a shame not to see California Gurls in there as that is personally my favourite, but happy with Teenage Dream winning as it's so catchy and has a nice meaning to it.

Teenagr Dream for me. I loved OOTB but Teenage dream made me adore her. It was a pwrfect moment CG could so easily have been a novelty. But TD was more mature and consolidated kp as a viable star properly before fireworj set ut in stone. Then:

Thinking Of You
Dark Horse
Wide Awake

I am so thankful that they put Roar above I Kissed a Girl.

Are you ready for my 3rd dreadful joke of 2015? If not, you know the drill - look away now

Can't wait for the show tonight, I'm going to be a saddo and stay up just to see Katy, I have complete faith in her, I think she always knows how to put on a great show.

I enjoyed it but it did make certain things blatantly clear. She is resting on her laurels the camp kitsch is all fun but if she wants to progress as an artist she needs to well progress which thankfully the latter half of Prism showed. But overall it really has asserted her as a force and consolidated her as a superstar equal if not beyond her contemporaries.

I enjoyed it a lot. In fact, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it as I'm only a casual fan of her music. The Super Bowl was not the place to try something totally new. I"m sure the producers asked her to sing her hits and to put on a fun family friendly show. What she did was perfect for the occasion.
I noticed in the other thread people are criticizing her for lip synching but almost everyone does that at the Super Bowl because they don't really have time to do a full sound check and they don't want anything to go wrong.

Her show for the most part was great but there are elements from the prismatic tour that would have been equally as good if not better obviously some aspects due to their staging could not be done but it was very California Dreams which is if anything regressive and as a fan disappointing. But it has done what I wanted it to do put her firmly back on top after t swift nabbed her crown as pop supremo for a moment . As for the lip synching well she isn't the greatest live vocalist and saved herself an unneeded backlash lol.

Katy goes platinum blonde for photoshoot

She's still touring with "Prism". I'm glad that she hasn't decided to re-release the album as was rumoured earlier on this year.re-releases on the whole are pointless.

I'm looking forward to new material though. I'd like a new album next year or early 2017.

Super excited for new music from Katy I adored Prism but feel it's time to move on. I'm hoping she does a Madonna on album four and retains a sense of herself whilst maturing toward more adult territory. I feel what let Prism down were in certain instances he fact that a lot of the material was treated with the bubblegum kitsc h she had done on TD when there was no need for it. Like the second half was much more mature and even the darker pop songs like DH were given a family fun video when in my opinion it should have been darker and lets not mention Birthday the video was abysmal.

It's probably my least favourite video from her.

I can't wait for new material.

So it seems Katy has legally registered a song called 1984. Many are assuming it's her response to Bad Blood by Miss. Swift. I hope not whilst frustrating I feel she should be the bigger person and let Swift look embittered. Look what happened to Gaga when they pitted Applause against Roar and Artpop against Prism :/.

I really hate pop wars.

I wonder if she makes it sound identical to "Bad Blood"...

I do too and this isn't one in which she should get involved TS has gone out of her way to victimise herself so Katy might come off looking petty.

I for one am very excited to hear 1984. I love a good diss track. It probably has George Orwell/Big Brother overtones with undertones relating to Taylor. Probably lyrics like "why are you always watching me?" etc. It'd be very clever if she took that approach.

Also I feel Katy's music needs to mature. I loved Teenage Dream but then I was 16 at the time. From what I've heard from PRISM, I only like 'Dark Horse'. 'Roar' is just a cheese-fest, 'This Is How We Do' is okay in a throwaway pop kind of way, 'Birthday' is just a massive low point in Katy's career musically and 'Unconditionally' is dire. I really feel like Katy is too busy trying to appeal to the pre-teen market and in the process is losing her tongue-in-cheek, controversial charm. I miss the girl who sang about kissing girls, and how her boyfriend is so gay and being one of the boys. I don't like PRISM Katy.

Also, so glad this thread I started 5 years ago is still going strong.

Odd that my two favourite singles from Prism - Birthday and Unconditionally - are people's least favourites. This Is How We Do was pretty boring though.

Yeah that'd be good or maybe not attack swift however subtle she is America's sweetheart and it'd be akin to massacring a kitten sanctuary to many .

Agreed the second half of prism I loved much more mature nice direction. I enjoyed the first half but felt the record company forced it upon her. I enjoy Birthday it has a nice retro disco feel but by no means should have been a single and on reflection neither should unconditionally though I love it.

And interestingly 1984 has no credits from Dr Luke or Max Martin so she may well be shifting to more adult territiory or they got fired for working with Taylor on 1989 .

Came across the first video for "Thinking Of You" earlier on.

Some are saying that it's an earlier version of the song though the vocal is identical to the version on "One of the Boys".

That's not a bad thing, in my opinion. It would be interesting to see what her material will be like without their input.

Katy has announced that she is working with retail company H&M on their Christmas line - Details here

I'm listening to "One Of The Boys" at the moment. I think that it is my favourite album by her.
