I thought the show was missing Stephanie last week. Considering she had only just turned 17 i thought she was remarkable. She should have been Dorothy.

Agreed. She was the spice throughout.

And after she left poor Jenny was saddled with the Rubbish Song Of The Evening designed to undermine her chances.

I really miss her too We get to see her in the final though

Stephanie's performance of Let's Get Loud was one of my all time favourites!

However, this week I realised that perhaps she was the right girl to go last week as the performances were so strong, and the acting challenges with the dogs, I couldn't see Stephanie achieving that as well as most of the others did. I do miss her and I thought she was a fantastic singer and dancer and a lovely, beautiful girl, but I think she is one who would really benefit from going and training for a couple of years now and therefore I believe that ALW made the right choice to save "Steph" who is closer to the finished article.

Miss Stephanie too, though dont know which of the final 4 I'd remove for her.
I'd have liked to see how she handled the dogs though would have been interesting.

Oh well will just have to keep an ear out for what she does next.

Yeah I miss her too. She is a great dancer, singer and her personality is fantastic. But when she left she got so upset and it was so heartbreaking to watch that maybe she couldn't have coped with any criticism well.

I wonder if her crying is partly why ALW chose to save Steph over her. He'd previously pulled Emilie up for crying when she was criticised, so perhaps he was concerned Stephanie wouldn't have been able to handle the pressure.

I miss her terribly. Thought the performances last week were not astounding and think she would have killed the competition with her big voice. In my opinion she had hands down the most beautiful/unique voice. I'm not one to really "love" a voice, but she really did have such a lovely tone, and it really was as Charlotte said, like 'melting chocolate'.

Lets Get Loud was also one of my favorites, she made singing and dancing at the same time look easy, which not all of them have been able to do.

I think perhaps she wasn't right for Dorothy... Dorothy is mostly an acting part, and I think Stephanie shines most when she is singing and dancing. I get the feeling she really enjoys this as well.

Stephanie was such fun - now she and Jessica have gone, that element has gone from the show, it's all very serious. I am sure she'll go on to great things though, she was MADE to be on the stage!

It's not the same without her - she was so much fun.

I think she needs to get some proper training now and learn how to handle pressure then it's watch out West End!

I totally agree and would remove any of the top 4 for her!

Stephanie loves dogs and would've had a great time with last week's challenge, she's veryu natural!

She is young and will benefit from more experience/training but I miss her on the show and don't think the others are up to her standard - either in terms of vocals, personality or movement - sometimes more than one of those.

Dorothy wouldn't have been a bad role for her, and she still may play it in future, but she'd probably be better with more of an all rounder's role as she's so multi-talented. Maybe Sandy in Grease? Her dream role's in Rent, but I haven't seen it so I'm not sure which role she'd been playing, although I've heard her sing Out Tonight, that's very good - it's probably whichever character sings that that she'd play

Yeah I have seen Rent and I think she would be good at playing Mimi (who sings out tonight) or Maureen, cos it's quite an energetic role and I think Stephanie would do it well.

She would have made a perfect Dorothy ,her voice was the best and she was the best dancer in them all ,she could also do humour and thats what ALW said he wanted.

Him saying he wanted humour was ridiculous because he voted out Stephanie and Jessica who were the only ones who really were funny or did funny performances

Having just watched Let's Get Loud again, I think Stephanie should go for a pop career rather than musical theatre.

Her acting is just so far behind her singing and dancing, it seems sensible to play to her strengths. Let's Get Loud
was an incredibly slick, very well presented number for a girl of her age to pull off. She should do more stuff like that.

I dunno, I think the 'Stephanie can't act' thing is a bit like the 'Lauren is arrogant thing'. The only real acting challenge I've seen is a 2 second shot of her with Sheila, and then Sheila saying she 'wasn't listening'. I find Sheila annoying and rarely agree with anything she says anyway. I thought she acted her songs just fine, had a natural excitability about them -- I actually liked Bojangles, and I thought she did 'Smile' really well.

But I agree about her dancing and singing perhaps being ahead. Lets Get Loud was really a masterpiece... and to think she just turned 17!

I taught drama for a while and like to think that I have an eye for these things. Perhaps I am kidding myself, but in this instance I have faith in my judgement.

I watch interpretation in songs and group numbers very closely and I've always found Stephanie to be very two dimensional and cartoonish in her acting. From what I can see there is no subtlety, no true craft there at all. I'm thinking of moments like A Fine Romance, I'm Losing My Mind, America, where it was all very over the top and pantomimey when it should have been refined and subtle. The only time I saw her acting something difficult well was during Smile. And even then only flashes. Bojangles showed her up terribly, but in fairness, not many of them would have been able to do anything with it.

Steph, Danielle, Lauren, Dani and even Sophie have shown infinitely more acting talent than Stephanie.

That's not to take away from the singing and dancing which is absolutely excellent.

Fair enough I'm no expert. I suppose I just enjoyed Stephanie's performances the most... why exactly I don't know. I do agree though that if I went to see her in something, a HUGE part would be to see dancing/singing over anything else.

How do you know we'll see her in the final? Do the Dorothy's who've been voted off come to watch the final?

It's my first time watching one of these programs by ALW you see so I don't know how it works!

I thought Stephanie was the perfect Dorothy but have moved onto Sophie now she's gone. I think Stephanie will be cheering her or Steph on as she seemed closest to them

I enjoyed watching stephanie and thought she could act has well has the others ,shelia has eyes for no one but danielle ,after 2 mins no one can say how well someone acts ,most of the girls in the songs don't act they just stamp their feet and blink their eyes.

Stephanie has acted ,
Stephanie is not new to the world of TV having appeared in numerous productions including Doctors, Holby City, Parents of the Band and The Outsiders but she insists that musical theatre is what she really wants to do.

she started singing at the age of 6 and has taken lead roles in stage productions including Annie, as Gretel in The Sound of Music, Anna in Santa Clause The Musical, and Little Nell in Her Benny – all of which were performed at The Liverpool Empire Theatre.

Going by other series the Dorothys who have been voted off will perform the opening number with the finalists and Graham will take their shoes again (Josephs handed back their coats, Nancys their lockets) and then later in the second show those voted off, including whoever came third will perform together.

Shelia has also praised Steph and lauren very highly. And rightly so. Steph in particular is a phenomenal actress.

Nonsense, its all there, in their eyes, their expressions, the way they walk. A proper actress acts the whole time they're on stage.

Haven't we had this conversation before? Plenty of people on tv aren't great actors. I just happen to think that Stephanie is better at other things

Which is fine and she should follow her dreams. If i were advising her from an outsiders perspective, I'd say concentrate on the singing and the dancing, but its Stephanie's life and it's none of my business.

I'm just some internet bore with an opinion

I agree 100%. The only time I really saw any real acting in her performances was in parts of "Smile". The rest was all slick, polished, great singing and dancing and her own personality, but no real substantive acting. Those bits of "Smile" suggest, though, that she does have the ability there, and she should get some more training to work on it.
