Sophie's the most popular Dorothy at this point. She's more of a threat to Danielle than Steph.

I also have to disagree with the Lauren comment. I know you're basing it on an event you went to but it's like when you come on here, Lauren and Sophie seem unpopular yet Sophie's the most popular Dorothy and Lauren is as equally popular (or unpopular) as Danielle and Steph as they've all visited the bottom two twice.

OK - you asked for it!

Danielle looks the "traditional" part and is a decent all rounder. I feel her acting is screen rather than theatre based, it's there, but may not be visible from more than the front stalls. That is fairly simple to cure though by direction. I always feel that it's in there but she needs a kick up the butt to get it out of her.

Lauren is a good all rounder, with the training. The trouble is that the training is highly visible. I think she tends to oversing and overact, though again good direction would probably improve this. My main problem with her is that of making her look even 15 in a year's time. I do greatly admire her overcoming of her problems though. She even managed to look sad when Jessica left too.

Sophie has the best MT voice, and could look the part, but when will she let an expression reach her eyes. First time it did was when she briefly smiled at Sheila last week and S went "there it is". Not sure about her acting skills really.

One general observation - some can act a bit, I've rarely seen any who were living what they were portraying though.

I did warn you. I shall now retreat to my slit trench and don my WW2 (Treasury issue) tin helmet.

That's not so controversial. Seems pretty reasonable on the whole.

4th - Steph vs Lauren or Danielle - ALW sends home Steph
Its clear ALW loves Lauren and Danielle having saved them both twice against fierce competition (Bronte, Dani, Jessica + Jenny) im 100% sure both girls would be saved if they came up against Steph. I know ALW saved Steph over Amy and Stephanie surely that must count for something? With Amy it was obvious she would never ever be Dorothy so why keep her? Stephanie was far to much of a threat to ALW's chosen few (Danielle, Lauren, maybe Sophie) so he took her out while he could thus Steph remains until now.

3rd - Lauren
Just feel out the 3 girls left shes the one most people dont connect with - shes an awesome girl and deserves her place in the final but I feel she wont pull in the votes like the other 2 thus ending up a very respectable 3rd

2nd - Danielle
Theres been so many twists and turns with who has and has not ended up in the bottom 2 at certain points throughout the show - you dont really think the favourites going to come out on top do you?

Streetwise could be a humorous advantage! Dorothy meeting a talking scarecrow might be a bit dull to watch if she acts like she sees one everyday. I especially think it would be funny to see Lauren encountering one lol.
I know what you mean though, these 2 may look too mature to be convincing as a 16 year old.


Wonderful pattern!! Only thing that may break it is that Sophie was saved against poor Emilie so we perhaps never got a true picture of how exactly much Andrew valued her, unlike the rest...

Interesting what folks are saying about the one saved in the sing-off going first. That's the opposite of what I expected.. i give up on trying to make this mathematical!

What happens in the last two? Does the public vote choose the winner or ALW?

I cannot see Sophie getting through to the final two and Lauren doesn't seem as popular on here either although imo she has been by far the best singer in the competition. She isn't necessarilly suited to being Dorothy.
So out of Lauren and Sophie I don't know who ALW would choose to go home.
I guess he wants Danielle to get the part but I think he has warmed to Steph a lot in the last few weeks.

I like Sophie but she is Danielle's biggest threat so I don't like saying this.....

but after the medley.... Andrew says "it has shown me a lot" and grinned .... i have a feeling he has just cracked that Sophie could make a very good Dorothy....

I have been told on here that as soon as it's down to the final 3, Andrew no longer has a say in it....
I dreamed that Sophie won the whole thing last night, but like you I still can't see her surviving this week.

However, if someone else is saved over her this week it will mean they have been unpopular with the public in almost half the episodes (well, 3/8)! So not sure this would be in his best interests.

A friend of mine thinks they've been double bluffing us all along and Sophie is in fact his true chosen one... who knows. Especially given what On my own said above.

I wonder this too.... I mean her acting isn't that bad she has a pretty voice... so none of her performances have been awful.... i don't think sophie could ever give a terrible performance she has a very nice tone to her voice... so if Sophie wins Andrew gets a very safe dorothy.....


However I will still go on dreaming that Danielle wins.....

I wonder? In the opening titles we DO see a redhaired Dorothy.
