Occasionally my box will fail to respond to any button pressing after its been on standby for a while, i have to turn it off at the switch and reboot.

Anybody else having the same problem?

I suspect what you're seeing is that if the hard disk has been spun-down the Vision box won't appear to respond to the button press until the disk has spun-up. Once the disk is ready then the status LED will change colour (orange to green on a silver box, purple to blue on a black box).

By stabbing the standby button a 2nd time during the spin-up period you're telling the box to go back into standby - so it will not start-up. So be patient - give it 5 seconds after the 1st button press, and you should see the status LED change colour and the box start working.

I see this behavious also however even after the light has changed to green it takes my box about another 10 seconds or so to "wake up". Its very slow during this time and doesnt respond to the remote very well then all of a sudden it will "catch up" and all my button presses go through! Doesnt bother me too much now im used to it!
