If they have a 3 way final again there needs to be a double firing next week or the week after. Adam's leaving has helped the maths though.

I don't think Adam will be back as a contestant, but I'm pretty sure he'll be back for the final as a 'helper' along with the fired candidates.

It's not that unsympathetic, apart from the fact that he wasn't fired. The only reason they've got that headline is so they can put the the words gun and fired together!

I felt Rhys was the right choice for the firing but the other two in the board room were dreadful and really they did not support the PM. I hope they go soon particularly Tim. I think they are all a dislikeable bunch apart from Arjun and Adam.

The Apprentice has an entire forum to itself!

Glad I'm not alone in this confusion I don't know which to post on ... and then when I do, the next day I can't remember which one I posted on!! ...age.

What does that mean JTW?

All it takes to have them merged is to press the Alert button and ask the administrator to move this thread to the Apprentice sub-forum.

I have to ask how he got on this program in the first place? Because I know for sure that at 16 I was far more business savvy and intelligent that that kid.

Completely deserved to go, he was a a complete disaster from start to finish.

He also has a really annoying face/voice and wears a suit about 5 times too big for him.”

Yes, the voice didn't help. Maybe he has better qualifications on paper than what appeared to us to be poor qualifications and qualities on seeing him in action. No doubt his youth and lack of experience played a big part. He'll learn and develop, I am sure.

Did and it has.

I usually hate pressing the alert button ( only done it a few times in 8 years), but YEAH, now we have all the posts together.

Does anyone know for sure if Adam is in or out?

Will be interesting to see him as project manager next week, see what he is like at properly taking control.

There seems to be alot of tension between Zoe and Emma.”

Hannah was PM wk2 and they won.
Tim is either very weak OR he's very good and they don't want to show it yet.

Zoe and Emma playing girly games just as you'd expect. Although Zoe doesn't appear to do any actual work, just selling.

Yes, I like them both. I think Debra was more competent, but that may be because Zoe is younger and less experienced. Her negotiating with Emma over who would be PM was great, offering the "head chef" role instead.

Zoe wasn't great at being PM, but she did get the quantities right - if Emma had got the 800 bases she wanted, they'd have lost. Also, Emma did the market research so I think it was her fault they didn't charge more for the custom cakes.

Presumably it's filmed like the adult version: the task taking however many days it is, followed by the boardroom which normally takes a day (and I think is often concurrent with the treat). There are usually 2 or 3 tasks a week, working 6 days out of 7, with a lot of early starts and late finishes.

I suspect Adam's illness was at least partly due to stress.

Watching it on iPlayer now.

Tim has just said, in the boardroom "Food isn't really my thing". Excuse, excuses. Plus, it's such BS, he came up with the good food-related Credit Crunch lunch idea in week one.

On the BBC website his picture is now faded as it is for the others who've already gone, and if you click on his name he's described as "Retired week 3", so presumably he's gone for good.:

He also has what seems like a farewell piece in the Mirror.

I suspect the experience was all just a bit much for him.

Weird, in the description for episode four on the BBC website, they say "With just five teenagers remaining...". Discounting Adam, there are six left: Kirsty, Tim, Emma, Hannah, Arjun and Zoe!
Typo, I guess!

Or when they were counting, Tim had ducked out the back.

Tim has something of the Lady Chatterley's gardener about him...

Luckily, he looks about 30, so I don't have to feel like a pervert.

I think Tim has actually shown ability; the lunch packs in week one and the sledge thing in week two were both his ideas, and very successful. The problem is that he doesn't seem to be good at carrying his ideas through to fruition; he stopped making the lunches and gave a stupid reason for it, and weaselled out of doing the pitches for the sledge thing which he'd said he'd do. Being PM should leave him with less room to hide.

I think a lot of sales people will be surprised to hear that what they do for a living isn't actual work!

I think the opposite actually. He's great at ideas, just not the grunt-work: that's perfect for PM as it's mainly fire-out-the-ideas-and-delegation game. He's also clearly liked by the others, and his grown-upishness means he'll also be listened to.

Agree with the above from DavetheScot #1270

Tim HAS to have a storming PM win to have any chance of winning the prize.

And at the moment that prize is Zoe's to lose. Selling is hard work it's just she seems to enjoy it and so makes it look easy.
It's also her total comfort zone. She's starting to remind me of Saira Khan. Please production team don't provide the usual megaphone.

Arjun and Kirsty are IMHO the only other real contenders now.
Both have shown skills and good, possibly the most perception. And I don't think they feel intimidated by the larger players now. Still time for both to PM as well. Kirsty has the edge in passion and grity determination I feel.

I think one of those two will actually win in the end.

He floundered for ideas this week and actively wanted grunt-work i.e the kitchen. Agree, he does seem to be liked by all the others but is he respected as he's shown his weak spots. Not sure Sugar is listening to him as much as he did either. Making him PM next time (like he did with Claire Young) is Sugar's way of saying 'I'm fed up of you now, one more chance, either piss or get off the pot'. And there's always the chance someone(s) might trip him up.

Or it could be the Apprentice classic of editing-after-the-fact to make the eventual winner a surprise. Sneaky buggers.
