BT & onlive
So with BT`s minor purchase of 2.7% of shares of the upcoming onlive service, (which enables streaming of HD gaming to your home for a monthly fee and hopefully allowing new releases to be played over the "NET") whats the speculation on how BT will handle this.
Personally id like to see a Hybrid Freeview HD BT Vision (slash) on live Box, subsidized based on subscription services, that way i can see BT reserving dedicated bandwidth for BT Vision and Gaming as one rather than reserving for each. also id like to think BT could use the MS tech behind BT Vision and implement media streaming from PC`s or even allow direct recording to PC harddisks maybe using Media Centre or even making the vision box an extender, although im not sure how MS would take to this as the new service is in direct competition with XBOX. whats your thoughts? |

onlive is going to offer many games, and you dont need a top pc spec eigher, only a fast connection of at least 1meg sec,its going be a good deal for bt to offer this service to its customers.now lets move onto the bt vision thing.it looks good,i would love to be able to stream from pc onto the vision box.only time will tell until bt bring out vision 2.0,which is suppose be great improvement, new epg,new interface, new content,we can only guess what it has.at the moment we have only 2 companys that offer true video on demand in uk,virgin and bt.the future looks good for bt,as long as your a bt customer that is.
