Sophie- Excellent performance, her best by far in the competition. Before tonight wasn't even sure she was capable of such a performance! 9/10

Stephanie- Really enjoyed her performance, but it wasn't her best... 7/10

Lauren- Terribly dull song. She sung it well, nut the acting was a little odd. 6/10

Danielle- Awful song... And she shouted again- worst vocal of the night. 5/10

Sophie & Steph- Solid performance, but nothing special and neither particularly stood out. 6/10

Danielle & Lauren- For me this was the performance of the series! Both girls were absolutely outstanding. 10/10

Overall therefore I predict Lauren and Steph will be in the bottom 2.

Solos:

1. Danielle - Another uncomplicated performance. It left me wanting more which is the way it should be. A pretty decent vocal too. I've chopped and changed with my favourites over the course of the competition but I've settled on Danielle as my Dorothy

2. Sophie - She surprised me tonight. A vast improvement on anything we've seen before. But too little too late to win me over completely I'm afraid. I still think Sophie would struggle in a big theater.

3. Steph - Love her to bits but she lost her sparkle a bit tonight. It was as if she had a touch of the Laurens, thinking too much instead of just singing from the heart.

4. Lauren - Overdid it again. I almost feel like Lauren's had all her individuality and personality trained out of her so that what we are left with is a very contrived, almost robotic performer. I want more rawness and soul.

Group:

I preferred Danielle & Lauren's duet. And I thought in the group number at the end, Sophie's American accent was virtually non-existant. She stood out for all the wrong reasons that time.

Agree with you, OP, Sophie's confidence was high this week, and the result was lovely - 9/10

Steph - I always love her, but I was expecting it to be better than it was - 8/10

Lauren - overacting again, but brilliant vocal - 7/10

Danielle - good in the soft parts, too loud in the loud parts - 7/10

Sophie and Steph - hideous costumes! Steph has always been my fave, but I did find myself drawn to Sophie in that number, she shone again. 7/10

Danielle and Lauren - I couldn't hear all the words and thought it was a bit frantic and overacted - didn't like it, wanted it to end. 5/10

Acting -

Danielle and Steph - both very impressive, really great, 10/10
Lauren and Sophie - OK but less 'natural' and therefore less believable , 6/10

Lauren- Terrible song, but she sang it really well and brought some innocence that I haven't seen before. 9/10

Sophie- vocal was lovely but I think she played it a bit angry. 8/10

Danielle- much better than last week. More controlled, a little less shouty. 7.5/10, maybe 8/10

Steph- Alright. Gary Barlow is a bit of a curse for talent show contestants, his songs are difficult to sing. 6/10


Sophie and Steph- the song is really repetitive and their performances weren't good enough to make it interesting. A bit flat. 6/10

Danielle and Lauren- I thought they were wonderful. Lively, funny, great chemistry and they sang really well. 10/10

Personally I thought Sophie was the best then Danielle- Lauren and Steph pretty equal for me.

I'm crap at ratings but in order:
1. Sophie - definitely the best
2. Lauren - brought the acting and the emotion
3. Steph - I love her and she did really well but wasn't as "wow" as Sophie and Lauren
4. Danielle - crap song choice. I think she could have done better with a song that wasn't so dull.

Thought both duets were brilliant. Loved both of them, but I think Sophie and Steph's just edged it, felt a little more naturally charismatic.

group performence. Danielle and Lauren, were amazing. 10/10, for the comedy stylings.... and vocals.

I've asked this thread to be merged with a similar one that appeared without me noticing!

Sophie - Excellent performance, but she didn't win me over as Dorothy at all. She looked too nervous to eventually lead a West End show.

Steph - Think she might be in the bottom tonight after her performance. It was a bit bland, but her vocal was spot on.

Lauren - Thought her song was boring and she over-acted. She also seems to do the same thing in every song.

Danielle - Thought this was her best performance so far, and have no idea where the panel's comments came from.

Sophie and Steph - Their duet was good and I thought Sophie stood out in this.

Lauren and Danielle - They wouldn't have looked out of place in Wicked tonight. Absolutely superb performance.

Overall, I think Lauren and Steph will be in the bottom two tonight.

Just wanted to say that as I've not had one particular favourite all the way through this time (unlike Jessie, sob ) I've realised that I'm at the stage where I want Anyone Except Lauren to win - for exacty the reason you mentioned - she's robotic.

In fact, I think she probably IS a robot because I've never yet heard anyone human refer to "relatively expensive double-quilted eye make up remover pads". A bit of incorrect programming there methinks.....

1. Sophie - I thought she upped her game, lovely singing, great performance.
2. Steph - Not her best, but I thought it was quite a horrible song to sing and it was good.
3. Danielle - It was good enough, but she's always lacked the passion and emotion for me. Also think her vocals are weaker than the others, although not so much tonight.
4. Lauren - I just saw someone on another thread say that she's had the individuality and personality trained out of her, and I think that's right. I think she's too professional and none of her performances come across as natural any more.
