What do you think the Ratings will be for the Britans got Talent Final?

But if they decide to catch up on Tuesday at 8pm which looks most likely then at least the Monday double bill will be the climax of seige week. And the Tuesday hour will be the trial episodes.

Really saturday at 10pm is far from ideal. the best solution would probably be to show a double bill at 8pm on Wednesday and show Florida Paradise Lost at 9pm on Friday with a Corrie Lead in where arguably if it is promoted heavily enough that the time has changed it will most likely see a boost and maybe even 5m+ depending on the weather. Spain Paradise Lost was a big hit last year

True, but I'm sure some out there will still think it's too soon. Then again they can't keep it off-air forever.

Is there any content in the Corrie seige episodes that require them to be broadcast post-watershed?

ITV previously said the episodes weren't being moved post-watershed because of content so I suppose not. But then the Corrie producer recently said there were 'shots' that couldn't have been shot the way they were if the episodes were going out pre-watershed.

So, watch out for some "edits"?

They perhaps should run like this tonight:

7.30 Britain's Got Talent
9.00 Coronation Street
9.30 Britain's Got Talent
10.00 Coronation Street
10.30 News

Then tomorrow an episode after BGT. Then it's caught up.

BBC1 schedule changes, from: http://faq.external.bbc.co.uk/questi...hange_07062010

Quote:
“Please note that Death In Cumbria will be broadcast at 20.30 on 7 June 2010.

Richard Bilton reports on events that took place in Cumbria on Wednesday 2 June 2010. The programme will feature first hand accounts from eyewitnesses, emergency teams and survivors.

In order to accomodate this a number of other programmes will be moved:

- Panorama: Man United - Into the Red, scheduled for Monday 7 June 2010 can now be seen on Tuesday 8 June 2010 at 22.35 on BBC One.
- Children's Emergency, scheduled for Tuesday 8 June will now be broadcast on Wednesday 9 June 2010 at 22.45 on BBC One.
- Proof of Life, scheduled for Wednesday 9 June at 22.45, can now be seen half an hour later at 23.15 on BBC One.”

BREAKING NEWS: Corrie postponed for third day. More soon.

*makes note to avoid the Soap Forum for the weekend*

TV Burp again replaces Corrie.

As schedules stand now I think they'll continue them on Monday - and that makes sense as their big stories usually climax on Mondays. They could catch up with Mondays episodes on Tuesday or Wednesday at 8pm.

Typical BBC - managing to throw numerous programmes around the schedule just to accommodate one. I'm sure the Man Utd Panorama episode could have waited, or at the very least show that on the Wednesday rather than unnecessarily bumping Children's Emergency from Tuesday.

Looks like the ITV announcer was a little premature.

Good call I think. It'd be silly to bring it back at this point anyway - better leaving it until Monday.

I know this is a very awkward situation for ITV but for God's sake, release a statement saying it's not back until Monday and be done with it. This postponing on a day by day basis, hours after the continuity announcer said it would return as normal, is a horrible way to do things. They aren't doing themselves any favours.

Sorry about my earlier post saying that it would be shown tonight - but the announcer did say so - obviusly changed their mind! So not all my fault!

Sunday's Corrie omnibus is cancelled as well so it definitely won't be back until Monday now.

To be honest if Eastenders can't air their prostitute killing scenes 2 weeks after the lower profile Bradford trial, I can't see how Coronation Street can go ahead with their gunshot murder storyline less than 1 week after Cumbria. They will certainly have to be severely edited.

What a mess, announcing it live on air then pulling it again.

Agreed that ITV are in a horrible situation, but Just make a decision FGS.

krisgreen65: Scheduling for the rest of #corrie's Siege Week episodes has yet to be confirmed. More when I have it... - less than 20 seconds ago via web

There's several things ITV have to consider - its not as simple as saying "Air them at 7:30pm"

- is the content suitable for 7:30pm?
- if not, can we re-edit the episode to make it suitable?
- or maybe put it on at 9:00pm? But if we do that, what happens to Father and Son?

Stil a chance it will air then. Good to know.

As I said, it's a horrible coincidence, but ITV are making a messy situation even messier by not deciding already and getting the correct information out there.

As others have said, there is never going to be a right time for this. They're likely to get just as many complaints on Monday as they will tonight. They have to just do it, get it over and done with, then quickly move on to the aftermath IMO.

I think a re-edit may be on the cards - though easier said than done. With a fire due also though (and I bet they wouldn't pull it if people had died in a factory fire!) I wonder if they could re-edit the storyline so anyone who dies dies in the fire rather than by gun shot - but I guess all the scenes building up to it feature Tony with gun in hand.

Apparently one character was due to be shot dead in the Wednesday episode. And the fire is presumably in the Friday episode. I'm not sure how they could make it so that the character isn't shot, simply disappears for the two remaining episodes, yet stays in the factory to die in the fire.

I think they may edit that scene so that the shooting is as vague as possible. Maybe just a sound effect over reaction shots of other cast members or something.

It would probably have been better if at least one episode could have been gotten out of the way this week so Monday's double could be Thursday & Friday's seige climax, and then Monday's double could air on Tuesday as an hour.

In the context of the world of TV only, this is a nightmare for ITV. The fact that we are talking about these major episodes being 'got out of the way' and scheduled anywhere, and also the fact that in any other week, there would be no guns in Corrie. Their special week has ended up with less episodes shown than in a normal week!

Mon 19:30 --> Wednesday's
Mon 20:30 --> Thursday's
Wed (1 hour) --> Friday's and Monday 1/2
Thu (1 hour - 20:00) --> Monday 2/2 and Thursday's normal

Presumably Emmerdale on the Thursday will now be on from 19:00 to 20:00.

So the explosion (which I assume was happening tonight), will now happen in the first half of Wednesday's episode and will magically clear up completely during the ad break?

It's Waterloo Road I feel sorry for. I know it's not ITV's problem, but it's been moved here there and everywhere lately, and now it'll be clashing with an hour of Corrie straight after a BGT clash, and then it's off again the following week.
