Certainly better than last years - at least there are some people you can identify with. The problem though with revealing the shortlist is there will always be the question "what if?" when it comes to the people they didn't put in.
It makes me sad that CBB7 and BB11 both had 2 completely different takes on the launch show and its beggars belief why Endemol & Channel 4 didn't step in sooner to save the show. |

You really are despicable aren't you - using the murder of twelve people to vent your hatred of ITV.
I've made my feelings on ITV and the gun crime fiesta known in recent days. ITV did call it right last week by ditching the week's episodes of Corrie - even though many on here on Wednesday afternoon were in near despair at ITV having to reschedule one or more episodes 'because some people got shot' (or words to that effect). But if it was wrong to air them last week, it hardly seems better to show them this week - pre-watershed as well - in tandem with a new gun crime drama which could have been shelved until later in the year. And then a week after the tragedy, ITV airs a Tonight documentary on the events, which runs into an hour of Corrie siege and another hour of Father & Son. I think it's inappropriate. Others don't. Fair enough - it's a free country. I can air my views, can't I? Might as well close DS Forums down otherwise... |

Secondly, there've got to air the episodes of Corrie sometime and Father and Son has been very little anywhere to go because of the World Cup. I can imagine you was 1 of those 30 or so people that complained about Corrie being shown! |

Agree with the posters about Robbie, there is being funny and ironic and then there is being offensive and moronic and Robbie has certainly crossed that line and using the shootings as a way to put down ITV is just disgracful; I'd noticed it for a while but didn't bother to bring it up as i really didn't think he was actually worth it, glad others have noticed as well.
Back to ratings, BB seems to have had a postive reaction everywhere, so 6m is entirly possible, although i am actually quite let down. Great show but i feel a really poor selection of housemates had been picked, out of the 80 there seemed at least 30 great housemates and about 2 have actually been picked. I can see JA being hit more than Father and Som |

Not sure about BB yet. Seems a little more promising than last year. Going to give it a few more nights before I pass judgement and decide whether or not to commit.
(To watching it every night for the duration of the summer that is, rather than, well, the other!) I suspect it will rate at or just above 5m and beat The Apprentice by around 1m viewers. |

some of your posts the other day about it were fair enough, but your last post was quite distaceful. You seemed to be making a joke about ITV by using the murder's - aka " The Gun Network!

Overall a quiet night but Ten will be delighted to see that MasterChef bounced back again after that small problem caused by AGT yesterday. |

What do we think about Geri Halliwell on The X Factor? Good choice?
I think she's slightly more sufferable than Mel B, but they are hardly delivering the Lady Gaga/Beyonce/Jay Z/Eminem/Prince guests they've hyped up with all the stories leaked to the press in recent months. Right now it looks like its going to be Geri Halliwell, Sinnitta and Leona. But just when i saw ur comment on Geri, just thought id say that she really annoyed me today! and it wasnt just me she annoyed...practically the whole crowd! She was continually butting in and talking far longer than any of the other judges. Personally, I think Simon was getting iritated by her but that could just be speculation. It will be interesting to see how she comes across on TV and how they will make her look as from her actions today, I think she could become a very unpopular person! |

Honestly, i don't no. I'm just glad shes just a 'guest' judge! Everyone around me felt the exact same way and i think when some of the crowd started geering 'Shut it Geri!' just confirmed my speculation!
If Simon has any sense, he will have a new guest judge lined up tomorow for the next set of auditions in Birmingham! just after reading ur comments...she wasnt a 'bad judge' because she was giving good constructive critisim to the contestants. It was just she was talkin far too long, taking up too much time and constantly interupting the other judges when it was their chance to speak! sorry but after today geri has kinda got me wound up, mainly because I thought she would be an alright judge! |

This run of guest judges will certainly be interesting. It does disprove the notion that Simon can just fire of the current judges, stick anyone in their place and the show will be just as successful and the judge well-received. That doesn't seem to be the case and you would have thought Geri was a safe pair of hands.
I've said it already and I'll say it again, the current foursome are a great, popular bunch and it'll be a shame when, eventually, one or more of them choose to leave in future series. |

Thats exactly what i thought bout Geri being safe as she has experience from before but after today I now really dislike her personality. However, I could be wrong and she may come across on tv as a savour! ![]() apologies for this turing into an xfactor thread lol |

Could be a perfect story for the producers if she has done as badly as suggested, so long as they actually show it. Better to be awful than bland (as most guest judges usually are).
Are the auditions just 1 day or do they have another set tomorrow? Last around a month. Going to Dublin for the first time this year. Coincidentally Leona Lewis is playing the same venue the day before and day after... |

I doubt it, the tabloids are going to have a field day with this so the X Factor producers will have no choice but to edit her in a bad light imo.

And great singer as she is, I don't see Leona Lewis being great as a judge. Sharon should really return for a one-off. Her and Louis were great together and it would get loads of attention. However, I wouldn't want her back on a permanent basis, the show has moved on (and she seems to be living in LA fulltime so I doubt she'd come back anyway). |

Looking more unlikely that Christine Bleakley will be joining GMTV.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/...5875-22322694/ is a shame if it's true! Although there have been many newspaper reports about it - this does seem the most genuine - whether the quotes are from her I don't know! ![]() The only thing that is suggesting she'll leave to go to GMTV is her parting company with her agent. Also (from a very relaible source ) the new name for GMTV will be "Daybreak." |

EastEnders did well against Emmerdale beating even before it started
![]() I think Emmerdale will come out top Thursday though as it will take viewers by surpise that it's airing for 1 hour. Noticed that Corrie was down for 2 30min slots in the Newspapers today so it didn't air as 1 hour then?. Not sure how an EastEnders wednesday episode will go so i expect it to be lower tonight with Corrie coming out top but even that at 8:00pm on a weds is rare |
