A question about The National Lottery:In It to Win It: do the BBC One overnights include people watching the programme on the Red Button stream, where they can play along?
There was also a Red Button simulcast of Over the Rainbow. |

Doctor Who timeshifted ratings:
Eleventh Hour (6:20pm) 10.1m Beast Below (6:15pm) 8.4m Victory of the Daleks (6:30pm) 7.8m (8.2m with HD) Time of Angels (6:20pm) 8.6m Flesh and Stone (6:25pm) 8.5m around about 2m.... But then again all the time-shifts are bonkers this year. ![]() My question is... Is there another program on at the moment that get's a massive boost from a final time-shifted rating? |

I'm surprised anyone buys the idea of Simon Cowell downgrading his role in either of his two big UK talent shows. It's still a good publicity stunt, even though it's been done a few times before, but these two shows mean the world to him.I think he'd have to be dragged away kicking and screaming.

The Cube will be pushed further into the autumn and will be the lead in to the live shows rather than the audition shows.

I think BARB must have missed EastEnders off that list. I'm sure some early 1990 episodes passed 20m including the omnibus, which they were still counting in those days, as they did for the Neighbours repeat.

looks like NBC are saving some stuff for mid season, plenty of the new & returning shows not on that schedule.

Yup, they've missed it off. The record books will never show it, but EastEnders was the 2nd most watched TV show of 1990 with 20.3m.

Interesting that Undercovers is on Wednesdays, if it were me I would out on Mondays and save Chuck for midseason. Wednesday 8pm is quite weak so I can see why NBC scheduled it there but I can see CBS or FOX put an existing hit show there as a spoiler.
Law and Order: LA at 10pm is interesting though SVU is going to get killed not only by Criminal Minds but Modern Family as well. |

there is still a fair bit of new stuff to come.
Harrys Law The Cape Friends With Benefits Next Perfect Couples Meanwhile returning show like Parks & Recreation, The Apprentice, Minute to Win It & The Marriage Ref, all need homes. NBC will be able to make some drastic changes at mid season, with both returning shows & new shows, it may not be the most shocking schedule, but its got some depth to it. Friday 8pm: Who Do You Think You Are? / School Pride, will almost certianly need replacing by midseason, if not sooner, step up Minute It to Win It or The Apprentice. would not be too surprised if LOLA got a specific repeat slot, like SVU did last fall. |

As we've just revamped the site, I wondered whether you could give us any suggestions of improving our UK/US ratings reports?

The Big Fight Live, ITV
Any figures for Amir Khan's return to ITV on The Big Fight Live earlier on this morning, or will we have to wait until tomorrow?

"Ice cream weather" on the way next week, with temps into the low 20s by Wednesday as high pressure establishes over the UK.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-sto...5875-22259781/ The soaps are going to have another bad week I feel! Did someone say Hollyoaks had a big storyline planned?

.I'd also like to see more ratings reported from outside the 7-10pm hour. Stuff like the news, teatime hour (which is really competitive) and also with the World Cup coming up it would be good to have the afternoon match ratings reported. Cheers. |

Slightly low all round last night - funny that Britain's Got Talent dropped slightly in share by the Lottery gained. Nothing to be concerned about though, but I agree with those who say maybe this is a similar lull that The X Factor suffered in the fourth series - and will be followed by a revamp.
BBC1 had a good night all round - Doctor Who will no doubt timeshift excellently. For ITV1, The Whole 19 Yards seems consistent and offers something different for the non-sci fi audience. I guess it's 'good' news The Prisoner didn't lose anymore! |

Not sure if it can react so quickly but the Lottery show was about as dramatic as it has ever been.
Deal or No Deal was pretty dramatic as well today with an offer of £101,000 (not in play, dealt at £17,000) and the £250k coming to the table before a last minute swap. I often find with Deal that these big dramatic games seem to crop up within themed weeks, and today's was no exception, rounding off a week of "Cops and Robbers." Call me cynical, but it is no coincidence. Still, it's perfectly harmless TV for teatime. |

I'd certainly like the broadcasting/media news to be more prominently featured on the home page rather than the useless celebrity tittle tattle. |

1) more ratings outside of 8pm to 10pm 2) more peak figures reported, i.e. sport events. Don't pretend sport events don't exist or are meaningless. 3) report important figures outside of primetime, i.e. sporting events or other important programmes (for instance political stuff or the teatime shows, or even the breakfast shows when primetime is shabby) 4) table format for primetime stuff to follow what MG and Broadcast have started 5) less of X had that, Y had this - which becomes tedious 6) in-depth focus on specific demographics maybe once a week, i.e. with dramas did well in 16-34; ABC1 etc. 7) report ratings when they come out, not 24/48 hours later. Suggestion 6 might be pushing things though. Anyone agree with the above 7? |

Making them easier to find would be a good start. Also I find I seem to get two versions of the home page - one with the blogs and the broadcasting/digital TV news listed (though hidden at the bottom!), and one without all that.
I'd certainly like the broadcasting/media news to be more prominently featured on the home page rather than the useless celebrity tittle tattle. Depressing, but true. You can hardly blame them therefore, for going down the more advertiser friendly route. It's a completely logical progression for the site, whether we like it or not. At least they are still covering media news, albeit half-heartedly and in nowhere near the same depth as when I joined back in 2004. My only request for the team is that someone somewhere finds a fix for the dreaded invisipost... |
