Lewis dented pretty severely on last week. Must be a combination of lead-in and opposition I guess. ITV are still struggling to recapture a successful formula for pre-watershed on Sundays. BBC One, on the other hand, was doing just fine until 9pm...
Relatively good for the Boy George drama on BBC Two - they seem to have a number of big feature dramas coming up - Sundays seem like the most obvious slot for them. Nothing radical on the Fox schedule (thay didn't need to do anything radical, really). It'll be interesting to see how the new comedy line-up on Tuesday goes. They should have every chance as they've been given a Glee lead-in. I'd be stunned if one of them wasn't axed though, making way for an hour-long Idol results show in mid-season. |

And looking ahead a year there doesn't really seem to be that much room for The X Factor come fall 2011. You would think it'll air either Tue/Wed or Wed/Thu, and I'm not sure there is three hours worth of content to pull from those days, even if things are reshuffled a bit.
Does look like the networks are concentrating on comedy this year though - I'm not sure we'll see the replacements for long running dramas such as Lost and 24 appearing this year. Certainly nothing that has caught my eye yet. |

Solid ratings for Countryfile and Over The Rainbow. No surprise really that the Boy George biopic on BBC2 beat Modern Masters.
Quite a big drop for Lewis compared to the last couple of episodes, probably due to BBC1's slightly different scheduling. Also, worth bearing in mind that the last two episodes did better than expected - it was rating in the low 6's for most of last year's series so yesterday's episode was sort of 'back to normal'. Five did well with its 9pm movie. Is Richard Hammond's programme on BBC2 a repeat? Because the ratings it's been getting are not as high as what I would've expected. -- Looks like Chris Ryan's Strike Back timeshifted well in the officials. |

That's also, coincidentally, is the rumoured launch date for Big Brother. The World Cup game it will be clashing with is France vs Mexico. |

The Mentalist added 774,000 viewers to 2.54m. (bigger timeshift than the BBC's [i]Luther[/] It's amazing that The Mentalist comfortably beats CSI every week in the officials despite having the same overnight audience, I think the timeshift is higher than last year's but I guess that's due to the move to Friday and being up against Ashes to Ashes. CSI is looking vunerable more so than NY which is holding a steady audience, perhaps the time to debut a new drama in the plum Tuesday slot is looking likely with CSI at 10pm. |

ok looked up X-Factor, and it is Fall 2011.
Guess that just leaves SYTYCD, as the only question mark, oh & what replaces The Wanda Sykes Show, but FOX does not know that itself, and its not a big deal to the UK market. |

Expected higher for the 50 Greatest Pop Videos, especially considering everyone I know was talking about it and it was trending on Twitter.
Oh FYI, I've been a lurker for this thread for over a year, only just now occured to me to start contributing.

A bit of a strange agreement, to be honest. Perhaps its something to do with Hammond's contract - does he have a golden handcuffs deal? I guess BBC Two might be getting the series for a knockdown contribution for releasing him to do it. |

There's obviously a good chance of Idol's results returing to 1 hour but they have added an extra half hour on Tuesdays anyway. And they still don't have a spot for Terra Nova, which is a big budget show by the sounds of it and needs to put food on the table for a staggering 10 Executive Producers! One of the most surprising aspects is that FOX are trying a scripted Friday again, which has also allowed them to keep both Human Target and Lie To Me on the schedule. And more than any other network, they seem to be embracing "year round" programming with The Good Guys and Lie To Me both running from summer-Christmas. Quote:

There's definitely a lot of new comedy series launching, many look like they'll only be able to get through 13 episodes or so because the slots will have to be given to something else. NBC still have 2 comedies for midseason and were said to be looking at putting them on Wednesdays at 8pm (they don't have many other open slots). But that would mean comedy on all 4 of the big networks! |

It's back this summer and a decision will be taken after that about next summer. The fall run was a one-off that didn't really work. |

Tvbythenumbers CBS Survivor did well for their finale and reunion. Impressive numbers. FOX brings their similar/usual numbers as the last few weeks. Nobody cares about the Miss USA Pageant and Celebrity Apprentice is tumbling down. Next Sunday, Lost finale on ABC! |
