The football will probably get the best ratings since it went to ITV next week but you seem to think it will do out of this world numbers. I doubt very much High Street Dreams will slip below 1.5m, there are enough people who have no interest in football out there.

I am really shocked that Body of Proof is on Fridays. I was predicting either Tuesday or Wednesday at 10pm. Then again, having Secret Millionaire and Body of Proof is much better than having to put up with Wife Swap and Supernanny. Maybe Body of Proof will become one of the few Friday shows which becomes a hit.

A rather underwhelming ABC line-up there, I think they could find it very tough next season.

They always seemed the least likely to go with scripted shows on Fridays so to see Body of Proof there is a bit of a surprise (and no doubt horrible news for the cast and producers). It'll be competing with NBC's new drama, Outlaw and possibly CSI: NY or The Good Wife on CBS.

No Ordinary Family has its work cut out at 8pm against Glee (then Idol), NCIS and The Biggest Loser.

Really surprised to see Mr Sunshine being held for midseason and like NBC, ABC have ordered more comedy but not moved outwith their 2 hour Wednesday block.

say one thing for ABC, it does have "No Ordinary Family" decent cast as well, even if Tate Donovan & Autumn Reeser make it a bit of an The OC reunion. However Julie Benz & Michael Chiklis are always good.

CBS tomorrow, the one im most looking forward to, and if I lived in the US would take up the most of my viewing hours. Who is going to care about theCW on Thursday?

Corrie seemed to maintain its good shares last night, but there were fewer people watching TV, Emmerdale somehow managed to increase it's share by around 3% on last Monday as well as the total viewers. Surprised at that and the gap between Corrie and Emmerdale now at 1.5m on a Monday-only a few weeks ago it was 3m!

Also as everything else crumbled Wormwood Scrubs held up extremely well and for the past few weeks ITV seems to be back dominating Mondays with TOF, Nile, Wormwood then the football and BGT for the next 2 weeks. But BBC1 have had extremely weak competition which has been surprising,

Another solid rating for FlashForward-I think FIVE will miss it because even though the second half is down on the first half it has maintained 1.5m for the past 10 episodes or so and delivered a timeshift of around 0.7m which is fantastic, but no doubt FIVE will find another similar import.

Stupid scheduling for Where Did It All Go Right really when no-one knew about it and the only viewers it had tuning in were those for Good Times, which explains why it's so low!

And now tonight we face the wasteland that is ITV1 on Tuesdays. Surely the end of The Bill can't come quickly enough, but maybe it's time to nudge Millionaire out of the way as it is well past its peak and barely figures in watercooler conversations now.

I think it's their best hope on the September schedule, one of the reasons why I'm not sure about putting it in such a tough slot. Solid cast (I loved Autumn Reeser in The OC, shame that the show died in season 2/3) and a proven producer. Looking forward to seeing the trailer later today, seems to be the kind of show that could be shown on a number of UK channels.

I'd guess ITV2 and E4 will be keeping a close eye on The CW but it's a bit of an anti-climax to the week, especially as they'll maybe only have 3 new shows.

I think they'll opt for a procedural like Hawaii Five O or Chase but it wouldn't surprise if they go after Undercovers.

Not keen on the ABC lineup, compared to NBC and FOX, ABC's lineup looks a little limp.

say one thing for the CW, whilst it has renewed plenty, there are a couple of question marks, and we have no idea what its new shows will be, certainly none are confirmed.

Not quite the mystery of CBS, but still for those who care, some important pronouncements to be made, in terms of new programs, and the future of some of its long running programs.

It's curious though that viewing on Tuesdays seems to be down across the board since ITV1 stopped competing on that day of the week.

It seems viewers are abandoning TV on Tuesdays and doing something else rather than finding alternatives.

Well I don't think it will get out of the world numbers, but 8/9 million is quite possible, enough to sink the other channels including High Street Dreams.

Jeff Bader, ABC's Executive Vice President, Planning, Scheduling & Distribution, has explained some of the decisions for next season:

Some snippets:

Quote:
“New superhero family drama No Ordinary Family should do fine going against Fox’s hot dramedy Glee on Tuesday, Bader said, noting that No Ordinary Family is a more mature drama with stronger male appeal.”

Quote:
“While Ugly Betty was younger-skewing, targeting adults 18-34, Body of Proof’s target audience is women 35+, making it “much more appropriate for Friday night,” Bader said. “It has a very similar profile to the CBS shows on the night, and they have faded.””

Very lacklustre scheduling decisions from ABC. I said a couple of days ago that they had 4 decent lead-ins (Housewives, Greys, DWTS, Modern Family) and they needed to give 2 of them to new shows. They've given none of them away. The likes of Brothers and Sisters and Private Practice will just keep ticking away on life support while their lead-ins fade, and ABC's chances of finding the next big thing become more remote by the season.

Detroit 187 probably has the best chance, but No Ordinary Family will be buried in that slot - Glee takes the younger drama viewers, NCIS takes the older drama viewers, Biggest Loser takes the non-drama viewers. I don't know where Jeff Bader thinks his audience is coming from.

A shame to just see one comedy conservatively placed in the Wednesday block - they should have used the MF lead in. My Generation might have a reasonable shot, as FF did at first, but its hardly going to challenge Survivor. And they clearly musn't think too much of Body of Proof...

All in all: poor effort.

I want Life Unexpected to be renewed - it's a great show, better than some of their trash *cough* Fly Girls *cough*

Are ABC stupid with their schedule? Putting Body of Proof on a Friday? They should have put it after Desperate Housewives, moved Brothers and Sisters to the post-DWTS slot on Monday, and moved Castle to Wednesday as it doesn't need the DWTS back up. Surprised to see Off The Map being held for midseason, as well as Mr Sunshine, I thought that might have got the post-Cougar Town slot. Must say I'm glad that Cougar Town has stayed in it's slot, I feared it may have been axed if it was moved.
