They can be sister's. Lauren the older one, and jelious of Danielle's popularity so trys to sabotage her, and then they become best sisters/friends in the end. after many songs and triles along the way.

These songs would be perfect lol:
Women Like You: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOR9X...eature=related
Look at You: http://dianne-pilkington.net/lookatyou.php

Actually, most of the songs I've heard from these musicals could work quite well with your concepts! Maybe Chris Hamilton (the writer) should be thinking about casting them! Other songs from the musicals are here: http://www.myspace.com/chrishamiltonmyspace and here: http://dianne-pilkington.net/over.php

Though obviously we'd like something original!

Or they could be two girls from feuding families or completely different sides of the trace; One from a rich family who paid for her to go through all the arts and drama schools and the other from a very poor broken family, who learnt everything on the street and has a raw talent!
The poor one gets into a prestigious school and the two initially hate each other, something happens and brings them together and they become friends but then they are both up for a major role and have to decide between that and friendship ...

Oooft ... I need sleep

A few weeks ago I wasn't fussed on Danielle even though I put her in the top 3 but after this week she's grown on me. It's still Lauren for me but Danielle, yeah she's good!

I would love to see Danielle and Lauren perform 'There's Always A Woman' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJhrq0semTc

It would be hilarious!

Laurielle - because they're worth it!

(I can't believe no one has come up with that one yet - people, your standards are slipping! )

As much as I wanted a Danielle/Lauren/Steph final, and adored Steph, I completely get why ALW chose Lauren over her. Steph didn't have a great week, not helped by two so-so songs. Although I love South Pacific, it's pretty hard for girls my age today to relate to the lyrics of those songs. Sheila said much the same thing of Sophie's song last week. Lauren, meanwhile, did well with a song that I actually hate, and Popular was just amazing. Danielle's my favourite, but Lauren for deputy PM!
(Not that I am implying Danielle is David Cameron, or Lauren is Clegg... oh God. That analogy started out as a compliment. I'm not doing that well, am I?! )

I am so in What a great team!

They were AMAZING doing Popular! Felt so sad for Lauren when she mouthed "me" thinking she was bottom of the votes. Laurielle for top 2!

I wrote this on another thread, thought it fit here:

I kind of feel sorry for Lauren to be honest. She's clearly very professional and has a set way of acting about her, which makes her seem a bit clinical and seems like she lacks charisma.

In reality I think she might be really sweet. She's not a huggy type, neither is Danielle, but she always gives a gentle touch on the arm of support or with Bronte when she made a fist to tell her to "give it some". I used to think she was arrogant but I don't anymore and I felt dreadfully sorry for her when she was bottom two again this week after she smashed it with Popular.

I agree totally, as another Danfan... Lauren looked so defeated in the bottom two again, and her performance (both before and during the sing off) was brilliant, it was totally undeserved. Both girls get slated for not crying too, which is ridiculous.

I agree! I even think that she might be a huggy type, just not in television in front of millions of people (and surely that's totally understandable?). From what I can tell, I seems like she's very close to & supportive of the other girls... both she and Danielle seem very lovely!

It seems that if you want to be a successful reality tv star (I know this kind of reality tv is very different to Big Brother etc, but even so, the same thing often applies) then you must be overly-emotional and be willing to let the nation see that, something that I find completely ridiculous!

I only remember Jessie and Jodie crying when Ashley left which was in about week 7? I think. They did cry, just not every week.

It is very unhealthy to actually want to see young girls cry.

I think the lines she sang in the sing off were perfect for her:

Time and time again I've said that I don't care
That I'm immune to gloom,
That I'm hard through and through
But everytime it happens all my words desert me
And anyone can hurt me
And they do

She looked directly into the camera for those last two lines, like she was speaking directly to the voters. It had an effect on me anyway.
